Greetings fellow citizens of the EVE Cluster. My name is Mika Solaria and this is a breaking news report from the Sahtogas System in the Bleak Lands Region.
The Aegis MIlita Alliance is a Amarrian bent paramilitary force that have achieved several impressive accomplishments since thier inception. They won the "Blood War" in the Bleak Lands approximately one year ago, defeating the dreaded Blood Raiders and their supporters, primarily the pod pilot organization known as the Blood Inquisition. The Blood Raiders were forced to move out of the region but have vowed vengeance.
Since the end of the war AM has endeavoured to care and nurture the refugees, primarily Amarrian, in the Bleak Lands and provide for them the comforts and stability they once enjoyed before the Bloods launched a merciless attack on every denizen of the Region. Recently, they issued a press release detailing their first major step in normalizing the region. This press release can be found here.
The Arcology 1 was to house over 3 million inhabitants in an attempt to begin the stabilization of the region once more. I use the past tense because before this very reporters eyes, I saw this habitat turned to little more than dust as a massive tactical nuclear device was detonated above the colony.
Very little is known about the attackers, although two pieces of surveillance footage were recorded by outlying monitors.
As you can see, these ships came flying in over the outskirts of the facility before turning in and heading to the main housing and commercial area. Arcology 1 was not yet full of all the refugees it had hoped to maintain but still quite a number were inside the facility.
This is a shot of the ships as they crested the ridge on the opposite side of the facility and made their escape. You can clearly see the tell-tale signs of the explosion in the background.
As of filing this report, I was many miles away but initial reports of surviving AM Infantry units and survivors indicate complete and total devastation. All in all, reports of the dead number approximately 2 million. The core remains of the facility remain unapproachable at this hour due to lethal radiation levels. There have been no claims on the perpetrators of this tragedy nor has any AM Official been available for contact.
I will release more information on this heart breaking tragedy as I get it.

If the blast was just above the city as he has said, then the EMP from the blast should not have reached the high orbit Satalites, if there are any and even if they did I asume that they would be EM shielded. Plus there is nothing stoping a pod equiped ship from flying over that section of the planet with high end camera equipment that could penatrate dense could cover. So all things considered, I find this report doubtful.

Its true, the city was wiped off the map. I know its true because I was flying one of the ships in the attack. The other pilot was commander flotwell. Corpse recovery teams will be sent in later to retrieve as much bio mass as possible. The irradiated corpses are very nice for abusing. They stay warm longer than the usual ones of course

Soratah sighs almost three million people were being housed in Arcology 1. Amarrian lives in a civillian Arcology. Im sure the terrorists responsible are chuckling now. Scoring a significant victory for their causes by massacring thousands of disenfranchised families.
Soratah waves a hand at an aide who transmits an active video feed into the IGS data stream
There's the result, the military units stationed nearby were fortunately on cadre operations with 1PG so they were not lost. 2 Million souls have now had their cremation on one of the worse places in this universe.

Indeed, I agree, what a waste of lives. Those people could have been used as test subjects, drained of blood, and made to suffer. Instead they where given an easier way out.
Regardless, it was an attack their protectors brought onto them.

I am still reeling from the shock of this attack. My transport had just dropped off a load of construction equipment, and we were aligning for warp to the stargate when the detonations occurred.
The destruction of a habitat intended to make life better for Imperial citizens is bad enough. What is so heartbreaking is that you waited until 2 million settlers had moved in before making this attack.
These were families. People wanting to make a new life for themselves. Women and children, not just men.
Whomever is responsible for this heinous crime, Hell has a special place reserved for you.

Radion levels at ground zero are still very high and disrupt sensitive equipment, however the outskirts are now secure were we've landed our support ships and troops to take charge of this mess.
However, dispite this being under military control... I... we would like to extend an open invitation for any corp or individual working by proxy or employed by the media of the cluster. All elements and media establishments are welcome and will have limited access to the site and any survivors as much as personal safety allows.
However there will be no more official communication from AM on this matter for the time being, as investigators are currently trying to establish whom engaged in this act of terrorism.

Yes 2 Million people is a large loss, but plenty more where they came from.
Who's going to clean up that mess is what I'm thinking about.
Personally I havent recieved any notice that anyone I know was killed.
I would like to see what retaliation AM plans to dish out.

Greetings fellow citizens of the EVE Cluster. This is once again Mika Solaria with IGSN with a development on the disaster in the Sahtogas system.
I've been surveying the damage to Arcology 1 from afar due to the heavy security placed around the destroyed facility by Aegis Militia. I'm still not getting any real news from their side of the fence on what exactly happend.
However, no more than an hour ago I recieved a transmission via NeoCom from a man representing an organization known for its terrorist acts against the Amarrian Empire. That man is a member of Stormriders who goes by the call sign "Mr Vapor." Here I present to you the message in its full, uncensored length.
TO: Mika Solaria
FROM: Mr Vapor
SUBJECT: Arcology 1
"For centuries now my people have been tread on by a monster. A monster that relies on religious fallacy and sordid tradition. This monster is the Amarrian Empire.
They have murdered, raped and destroyed my culture and its people for as long as I can remember. I have tried to fight this politically and patriotically for a long time. No one in my Republic's upper echelon answers our calls for justice. They are content to sit back and rely on politics and bueracracy to settle this injustice done to our people. They grow fat on their their wealth and they have lost the way that all true Matari know must be followed. There is only one way to settle this and that is through death. Either we must die or the Amarrians must die. There is no middle ground. There is no peace.
A group of higly trained SRS Marines flew those aircraft above the recently established Arcology 1. They dropped a 10 Megaton Tactical Nuclear device on the habitat. This was done under my order.
I now have reports that 2 million were killed in our attack. These included men, women and children. Let it be known that my conscience is clear. How many billion of Minmatar men, women and children have died since we were first subjugated? 2 million is a paltry sum compared to this.
This is a wake up call. A wake up call for my Republic and its allies. There is no more room for politics. There is only room for war. The Amarrian Empire and its religion is an insufferable beast that must die with any means possible. This is just the first act in an unprecedented reign of terror. No man, woman or child with Amarrian blood running through their veins is safe.
My name is Visian Muar'tarkan. Some call me Mr Vapor. I am a Stormrider. I have commited this act of my own free will and it is just and right. Too long has the plight of the Minmatar been swept under the rug for political reasons. This isn't about slavery. This is about a race of individuals that deserve justice that has long been ignored. If our Republic will not stand on its feet and say "ENOUGH" then we will do what they cannot or will not do. We will kill every Amarrian, innocent or not, that we come across."
Thus ended the message from the admitted terrorist. It remains to be seen what the AM Alliance will do about this or the Amarrian Empire.
However, this is indeed a tragedy of unprecedented proportions. While it may seem small compared to some more recent incidents, this was an attack on non-military personnel. These people had no connection to any Paramilitary or Empire group. They were merely targeted because they were Amarrian.
This "Mr Vapor" apparently wanted to send a message. In the eyes of this reporter, that message was most assuredly delivered.

the stormridders best hope they dont run into me anytime soon, i lost family to that colamity. i just wish i can get my hands on the bombers and everyone who was involed with that. For killing my my only sister you now have some hell to pay, and trust me i can teach you what pain is, even more so then the blood raiders. I'm willing to do anything to make your life and familys life hell.
