Exact losses of ships are indeed unknown, but the NVA claims made in the article are in our opinion, incorrect. We suspect that the NVA wouldnĘt be continuing to ask for outside assistance from non-aligned corporations if the war was going as well as they claim.
Are we fighting the same war?
...oh sorry, you're not fighting... ---

Chrysa, to my mind, is posing a semi-relevant viewpoint (though, possibly, not in the best fashion, or from the most independant viewpoint).
What might be a good half-way house is to have a single ingame page describing the Interstellar Correspondant scheme, and what it entails.
This could then be hyperlinked at the bottom of every article, to whit...
Jack Sprat, Interstellar Correspondant
That way, it doesn't intrude, and the information is there. Thoughts? --

Agreed Zaphod, that seems a very sensible idea. I do concur.

Standard disclaimer - like Zaphod suggested - sounds excellent. Also, a way to 'comment' on the news would be neat, Athule. But I guess we've got Eve-i.com for that.

Thank yan. Now i see we are getting dragged back to the off line finger pointing. I would like to commend CFS for thier civility and the NA will respect the decision of the CFS. I have hinted at something yesterday to cfs, and would like to say...yes we are designing a nation, however only one third of planning has been completed. Should M3G4 attack any neutrals that happen to stumble across them...please eve mail me asap. please provide a screenshot and i will eve mail you my real e-mail address to review the data. We do not wish to harm those not involved in this conflict, however i will remind all players that this is a warzone and both sides have adopted the stratagey of camping drop in points and stations in which many times ships show as derelict. any questions regarding the new nation please convo me. one more thing i would like to say regarding reporting any M3G4 attacks on neutrals is that if it happend before the war or anypoint passed yesterday night please dont report it to me. im interested in ending old blood hates not getting into debates. Should anyone wish peace with us, please convo me, we are not looking for allies, already to many have been unwittingly dragged into this conflict and to many have died. finally regarding the possible reopening of talks with NVA...nothing has been set in stone as yet.
but for any questions regarding our side or our plans for the future feel free to convo me. i will be on sparatically due to the fact i have much writing and planning to do.
but please be safe all. best wishes and good wealth and health to all.

I must admit I do find the whole "TTI hates news agencies" concept quite amusing given that I was probably the most vocal proponent of the newly implemented system in the 31/07 CSM ...
http://www.eve-i.de/article.php?id=39
From memory it *was* a TTI representative that made complaints about the scope, but they weren't acting under corporate direction at the time. Doesn't absolve the corp of responsibility, it's just "one of those things" that could happen to any corp I suspect ...
However, I doubt the individual in question would have wanted the outcome decided upon by CCP, and I'm not sure if this was the entire reason it was closed down. Only an official CCP statement would settle that one I fear.
Personally I thought the scope was great...

*Halseth yawns widely, rubs his head and stares deep off into the PF-346 nebula* IF I HEAR ONE MORE COMPLAINT ABOUT HOW NEWS IS BIASED, OR COMPLAINTS ABOUT COMPLAINERS COMPLAINING ABOUT BIASED NEWS REPORTS, I AM GOING TO FLY AND INDY FULL OF ADORABLE KITTENS INTO THE NEAREST STAR!! WITH 3 MICROWARP DRIVES ON!!!!
BTW, Great idea as usual, Zap.

***This is a little off topic**** I have been reading this thread and many others here lately and found a few items that were mentioned that I have not heard of before. Maybe I just don't read enough of the boards to know what the copmments are about. Anyway could you please shine some light on what these are about.
Quote: most of whom are as I write stuck in their 'gift station' surrounded by NVA forces.
What "Gift Station"?
Also I have been hearing a few things here and there about a TTI lawsuit. What is this lawsuit about?
SNIGG is now officially open for business. We are a merc corp looking for contracts. For more info click below http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=68313 |

"Gift Station" was an exaggeration. Just means Taggart gave an office to M3G4 so they could base themselves in Venal for the war campaign. Re the lawsuit, other people could tell you more, but I think it was about a Taggart mole passing on info from their private website. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Ragnar may have threatened legal action to protect the privacy of their website.
(Pretty sure there was never actually a lawsuit though)

The way it looks to me is that the Northern Alliance efforts to destroy or dislodge the NVA have failed and are done.
Maybe surrender and go on with the game?

I was wondering what tti will do now for fighter pilots up in venal now that mega has been split. Possibly an official response from tti on their plans? I dont think 5-10 pilots will be able to hold venal all by themselves. I dont think tti has any more allies to call upon, or they would have used them by now.
I think wretch's idea would benefit all parties in this matter.

I have to agree. Unless Taggart have another card to play they have pretty much failed in their stated objective to retake Venal with Pirate Allies. At this stage in the game they should be thinking of surrender as a method of preserving their corporation in some form.
