Earlier this evening a fleet mainly comprised of ships from the Equilibrium Coalition, Steel Vipers. Took control of the P3EN-E jumpgate to Obe. In a daring attack against the gates holders, a group of Pirates from Paladins of the red skulls, there was no major incident as the pirates fled from the gate in fear of the force which had set upon freeing the lane for all interstellar travellers.
Soon after an attack was launched by the Paladins which resulted in the destruction of numerous pirate ships, as well as lossÆs suffered by the defending forces who were eventually over run, due to a traitor with in there ranks. A man by the name of q-ball, who is now, a wanted man by both the EC and SteelVipers. KOS orders have been issued regarding him, and a bounty will be placed soon.

Our fault for trusting a stranger, and indeed for not knowing that someone from Cyberdine would have malicious intent. Lesson learned.
The chase is on, and it ought to be fun.

yeah, my friend says it the way it was.
We were betrayed by Q-ball, never again will this happen to us.
Q ball is now an enemy of all the corps that took part.
We are already looking forward to our next meeting with him .
Yeah, i lost my ship too, and was podded , but having the guy who was meant to be allied with, you trying to blow you up with 5 of his friends makes your chances of survival very poor.
Every paladin corpse will now hang pride of place in my hanger, because we will be going back "many" more times.
Good play though Q ball, i had my doubts about you,but never thought u would betray us.
Flame away my pirate teenagers.

If Q ball never betrayed us, we would be scooping up your cold corpses.
And you know it, thats why you hid in the moons for about 1 hour. Even when you had more people..
Was good fun though, nobody even tried to run, we made that clear from the start.

Even you have to admit, it was a little bit of an advantage, knowing what ships we had, where we were positioned, and when our other 2 BS were going to turn up.

Before this gets too out of hand, I'd like to thank Lefevre and Easy Target for being gracious in their victory.
For the rest of you, the Paladins ran when we came to the Obe gate, and didn't dare face us until they had us outnumbered AND had an agent in our midst. The result couldn't have been anything other than the slaughter that ensued, and for you to brag about it is simply rediculous.
But I'm sure I'm wasting my breath...

Whoa, am I reading this right? A Cyberdyne Systems corp member aiding M3G4 and Paladin of the Red Skulls in a battle. If I were in the NVA, I would seriously consider the loyalty of Cyberdyne to NVA, unless Cyberdyne is no longer part of the NVA. If they aren't, I appologize and please disregard my comment. LoL. You know very little of our corp. Yes we are still in the NVA and yes we will still defend it against mega and sorts.
Guess what, Tank CEO and I were NPC hunting in the same system yesterday with out a single harsh exchange? We are still at war with each other in terms of the NVA, but there are time in the game you just take care of business or want to do something else in the game.
It is very simple. Qball = bored. Qball wanted to spice it up and it looks like he did. It is really that simple. If your corps were members of the NVA blocking the gate it would be very different.
But like I said, any members of Cyberdyne may do as they damn well please and enjoy the game in any way they see fit.
But as a collective we agree to protect the sovernty of the NVA and it's people.
Take it or leave it - that is the way it is.

Cool some carebears were there? Wish i'd spotted em, we could have all hugged and danced. Co-incidentally we lost a Megathron a Caracal and a blackbird too. I lost my Thorax, it was cool how the lag gave it a nice dramatic slow motion effect.

Well guys let the Balletdins and NOballs boast all they want about killing us. We made then turn tail and run when we first dropped in on the gate (wasnÆt really surprised, they wont attack unless they out number you and there even more dishonourable than I thought they were). They ran like cowards, we stood are ground and defended the gate the best we could. So we know we did the right thing whatever the outcome, unlike the scum that eventually destroyed us.

CA is already allied with PA, and TPS lies between the two alliances. Natural allies to be sure. But it's not just that, all but PA (and even some of them) have adopted a "stfu and die, or come and fight us, we don't give a **** what you think or do" philosophy, as well as a PvP Kill everyone not friend kind of mentality. These are the people in eve that kill or convert, the ones dedicated to the death of others, because history, circumstance, and the rest of eve have driven then to do so (except TPS, who are just cool ass pirates ). |

To call us carebares only makes yourself look stupid. I was only 10k from the gate and could have ran no problem, i didnt, and neither did my friends, we fought like true warriors, to the death, full of honour and fight. Something that i have NEVER seen from pirates.
We are the true PVP players, we never ran even though you out numbered us and out gunned us, we were camping your HOME system.
We will be back many times, and even if i lose 20 corpses, i will have many of yours.

I agree , Lord Guerdo that alls fair in love and war.
I have to compliment the PLD on their powerplay. Their tactics were fair and they didnt use any lame exploites etc. It was a good fight and we had fun. We knew we where outnumbered, but we felt we would have a *****. We should have left when some of our EW blackbirds had to leave for the night but we were all consumed with bloodlust and alcohol, so we stayed for the fight. Nobody is complaining about our losses, we can easliy replace. The purpose of the post is to warn about no-balls a being dirty turncoat.
I do resent being called carebears. We stood and fought bravely to a man. We were looking for a fight and we got a good un. Fair play to you all for giving us a right pounding, cu all next time.

Is this true, they are allied with the NVA, , well there goes all my respect for these people.
Surely the NVA are fighting m3g4 and paladins.
I have read many of the NVAs posts about being at war with paladins/m3g4/TTI, and wanted to help them, now one of their allies works with them in killing the warriors of eve:).
What have the NVA to say about this, are all NVA now a KOS for myself and friends??????.
This means i have now no allies in EVE and will now see everyone as a threat.

We went to Obe and p3 looking for trouble. We stayed and fought, even when most of us could have jumped after things started to go wrong. We come on the boards posting a little battle report (a bit of roleplay if you will.) There was no mention of "cheating, exploit, gumble grumble cry."
Sound like Carebear behavior to you? We wanted a good fight, we got a damn good fight. You Paladins are quite skilled and we look forward to the next battle. Not because you're pirates and we're carebears, but because we're all pvp-ers and we all like to make eve a more exciting place.
Let's pay a little more attention to the words and actions of others before jumping on that rediculous carebear bandwaggon.
*edit* (In Character) I too am a little confused about the behavior of Cyberdyne's member. The Paladins and M3G4 make an appealing target because I am an NVA sympathizer. But this latest move by an NVA member makes me quite wary.

haha you guys have no idea who or how NVA works..these guys where mostly PIRATES BEFORE!
alot of them came from pirate corps or have been fighting the day since they came into venal. They are not a normal Alliance. Also they Bought peace when they tried to Sell out TTI wich led to this "war". They are not on your same Carebear lvls. I cant really explain or how or what i feel about NVA. Atleast its funny to c that they stir things up a bit or atleast 1 of there allie.

The NVA does not support QBall's action since he acted entirely against the best interests of our 27 member corporations.
We applaud those who took arms against the Paladins of the Red Skull. And in the future it will be our duty and our pleasure to lend aid to such endeavours.
I apologise unreservedly for the losses inflicted from Qball's treachery.
I am shamed. We are are shamed.

It isn't back pedelling, and for the record I expect the NVA council will probably ratify her statement. That is for the council to decide, not Jade or myself or any other individual corporation.
Something that people seem to forget is that Jade is not the 'Dictator of Venal' - and in fact the Jericho Fraction has gone out of it's way through supporting the council to ensure that this can never happen.
As to snap decisions on making war - that's the route of Ragnar, in an alliance such actions have no place, we will not be taking the same path. We do not share the same 'on my whim, execute everyone on sight' philosophy. The NVA knows this and our friends know this, but for people with only a passing knowledge of the alliance some clarification is needed.
My condolences to those fighting the Paladins.

I was merely saying that the NVA shouldn't act rashly. I would love to have their support, but not if it's going to cause a lot of trouble for them. And I'm sure that I'll get ventilated by m3g4 and the paladins many times before this is through.

Qball, you're right. A lot of folks take the game too seriously. For a lot of us, though, "fun" involves roleplay. Sorry if I've stepped on any toes with my words. As Qball is very correct to point out, it is just a game.

When Garrek speaks, he speaks for many members.
You do not cause our alliance any problems at all. we only come to p3en and obe because we dont like pirates, simple as that.
If any corp allies with them (m3g4), we will attack them also.
We are only ensuring the free travel for our fellow honest eve Citizens.

We will continue our attacks as much as we can.
I hope that the NVA will take action against Mr no balls, sorry QBALL.

Didnt seem like much of a blockade to me when me and the boys went through it this afternoon and onto P3EN-E, and then had a shot at one of paladins gate campers, was a bloody good fight nyway, great test for us, even if we did come out the loosers, i was happy to see 3 frigs on take all the shield off a Maller and its hp down to below 50% =)

Yeah agreed.
We have no problems with the paladins tactics, you fought and used your advantage well.
We would have done the same thing also.
We are a new alliance and need help from many people, knowing if they are high sec pirates isnt easy, as time goes on we will know who our friends and enemies are.
Easy mistake to make, we also had 4 people with us that we didnt know a great deal about, for all we know they could have tried to kill us too.
We wont make the same mistake again.

The big blockade was me returning from npc hunting finding a bunch of frigs sitting around. I wasn't prepared for a pvp fight since I was npc hunting. I must say I was impressed even though I was making my lunch while I blew up your ships and podded two of you. Next time Ill be ready and you'll be lucky if you all arnt poddded

These are the same group that was on tonight...all talk and no action if one is to judge from tonight...what odds do they favor...2-1/4-1/6-1/10-1???? lord for an hour I listened to your rants and raves about this or that and expected to see some battles in Obe..The only Redskull that came in was a moa...shame. Some of the others did not like the odds of a battleship against two cruisers. I did not even have my drones deployed. We just sat and watched you all come in to system...could have gotten some of you, you just sat there for minuets with two cruisers withen 21km of you. Would have been messy.

Well first of all I must say kudos to NVA for kicking out a pirate corp as Cyberdyne, I've could have told you that they were pirates ages ago...
Now you only have a few more corps to kick out.. ;)
Trusting a stranger is not easy these days.. specially when a corp can't check a CV or anything similar to that.
Good work trying to breach the blockade, but it will never help to bring a small troop into the hornet's nest, you'll need more then that..

Many of us admire your PVP abilities, No balls(Q-BALL) is the only reason we were upset, the rest of it was good clean PVP action.
Iv spent more time with pirates over the last few weeks, than i did with my own corp mates.
If it wasnt for you, my life in eve would be pretty boring. WE NEED EACH OTHER.

A message for those hoping to get a raven soon. It's one massive ship, it gives you a sweet ride, and if you got the skills, you will hurt someone very bad =0 and dont get turned off with 6 med slots for jamming, if peeps can kill bs's with bb's, you can do the same with a raven but with extreme firepower. Yes! i now, scorps are best pvp bs in this game so plz people, stop talking about megas being the best, its over-rated and i personally think its one fugly piece of ****, i traded one that was given to me too ROFLMAO. I wish you luck on that goal towards a raven, it is worth it. Once i got on, i didnt want to get out. wow garreck i totally got off topic here lol, well i'm just giving out some feedback on a raven that is all. take care guys and happy hunting...

I lost a Megathorn in friday nights battle, so what. It was replaced on sunday morning. Why dont u insure your battleship properly,Borg and take it to a proper fight. Thats what it is for.
And we didnt lose a single ship at the obe gate in hakonen. Sentry guns do not retaliate on honest folk attacking pirates with sec status less than -5.0. Surely u rats know the rules of engagement by now, or maybee u are spending too much time waxing your Raven in its hanger.

Is Cyberdyne a dishonorable corp? In my humble opinion I do not think so. Not because of one members actions or differences w/ the NVA. I've never had any problems w/ Cyberdyne myself. If those who were wronged feel as such then that is their own business. I will listen to another's opinion but am not obligated to make it my doctrine. Do not however misunderstand me. I do not condone treachery as an acceptable tool for those of noble character. Treachery is a tool nontheless and when used wisely is powerful and effective (as demonstrated on this thread). I have high praise and deep respect for those who continually strive to bring law to the lawless. Those who do so are to be commended.

Thing is, and QBall showed this, that a traitor can ruin your day and your defence. We are all playing this game for fun, and if you got someone between your ranks in the alliance, from who you know who will backstab you one day you will be sure think about it twice to let him in...
Cyberdyne stated that they would not kick a member out and they can not commit piracy, its their choice..
But its NVA's choice not to be associated with such a group of players and want a trustworthy team for as far as thats possible.

History of Cyberdyne:
1. Retail hits and I start the corporation with myself and three of my nephews. Ran around and mined in probes and traded minerals (the buy low sell high crap).
2. Friends from DAOC/CS and other games joined in and started major mining operations. We bought a MOA blueprint and became on of the first corporations to fully equip its entire corporation in top line cruisers.
3. The first big "epic" battle occured in EvE at Obe. We participated in removing pirates from the region.
4. After Obe became clear of pirate EvE suddenly became very boring. So we decided to take a walk on the darkside and become nothing more then pk'rs (we did not even really pirate - just attacked everyone we saw around obe and p3). This occured during the famous empire space moo blockades. We also offered to replace all ships we destroyed with a MoA at cost.
5. The MWD nerf hit, making long travels to hunt npc pirates and explore seem too much for some in my corporation. Lost several players.
6. Second big nerf hit, reducing dmg output on cruisers (for those that remember the big pink nerf bat sigs). Was fun when cruisers did as much dmg or more then todays battleships. This trend in nerfing scared off most of the player in my corporation at that time.
7. Saw that randomly going around killing people was counter productive and in itself became boring and pointless. Changed our ways to go back to being an "honorable" corporation. We have only accepted two new members from this time into Cyberdyen which holds at about 5 active players (far cry from the 16 it had active on at all times).
8. Moved out to the Venal region and was later approached by Morpheous (origianl Venal Alliance Founder) and joing the VA. We then made the decision to drastically increase wealth and move onto battleships.
9. Adopted a new corporate policy of total freelance. All players in Cyberdyen Systems are responsible for their own creed and welfare. Corporate structer designed to give loans and aid in individual wealth building measures. Members have wealth into the billions now at this point.
10. Evo war starts and back TTI until things start to become clear that Evo's cause may actually be right. Qball start under-hand diplomatic talks with Xan/Evo. Qball set diplomatic channels between Jade and Xan/Evo open. Several corps change ranks and drive TTI out and begin war. A situation extrordinarly complex and subjet to great debate still to this very day.
11. The NVA is formed. Cyberdyene clearly stated when the new doctrine was issued we would most likely not be a long term member of the NVA due to the conflict of freelance terms - allowing a player to choose what ever destiny they desire. But instead help with the initial stability of the region and remain in military co-operation. Go back several pages to see this in Jade's original decree.
12. Qball, being twitchy, gets bored again and causes the most recent uproar. The reaction to this tells me it is time to do what we always intended to do. Leave the NVA political structure and just remain "friends" with the corporations in it.
We were not forced to leave, it was asked to denounce Qballs actions publicly on behalf of Cyberdyen Systems. I could not do this given our current corporate structure. This may change in time, but for now it would of been a poser statement.
We have given Jade tactical information and even planted a mole for her in one NVAs enemy corporations.
I myself do not pirate/grief (was a long time ago). I went from a pretty ****ty security rating up to a 9.2 (even after the nerf to ratings boost). A couple weeks ago when I hit 8.9 security rating, being in a good natured mood yelled I had been fully rehabilitated.
Qball is a good, smart player. I trust him and stand behind him. If you remove all the political bull**** it is pretty easy to see (and see it as the game it is).

Let me see if I have this straight.

So the rhetoric about NVA comprising only upstanding corporations with no pirate affiliations seems a bit thin now.
I must say that although my visits to these forums have been directed by information pertinent to our (JEDI) current situation. And while I maintain JEDI's independant stance (I reiterate that we are not and never have been affiliated to TTI in any manner greater a NAP) I must say that the bigotry epoused by the NVA spokesperson is shocking.
When faced with arguments which she is unable to overcome with reason and logic, insults and propoganda (her favourite expression it seems) rhetoric are used in their place.
NVA I would seriously consider appointing a competent spokesperson in the place of Jade. It would probably raise the image that NVA is creating for itself, it certainly would do less harm.
Also, if you have any sense of decency then you will be eager to resolve the possible PR issues in having an undeserving corporation on your KOS list. The best way to achieve this would be through appointing a representative that could investigate our claim with an even mind.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

I have gained the ability to predict the future of EvE. One with JEDI corporation burning into non-existance.
We are not in the NVA. We spend about 1% of our online EvE time in Venal - yet we will help protect the region if it come under heavy attack. We are friends with pirate corporations. We are friends with good corporations.
