Low-Sec should have occasional CONCORD sweeps through the system destroying any criminals who didn't flee or dock upon their arrival. Everyone is always talking about High Sec carebears being afraid of PVP and everyone speaks of "watching local" constantly. But gate campers only do this to kill characters that cannot fight back. It would be nice to give them a feeling of "never being safe" as well. Lorewise I think this makes sense as well since it is "low-sec" whatever that means. If it was Nulsec then so be it, Empire police have no business there, but low-sec needs some revitalization, and maybe this will spice things up a bit. |

Concord Incursions sound hilariously fun. But I would also like to see the other pirate factions do the same (but in high sec): Guristas, Angel Cartel, Blood Raiders, etc. Once upon a time the Golem had a Raven hull and it looked good. Then it transformed into a plataduck. The end. |

There are a lot of corporations that already do this. Some of them, like Brave Newbies, do it in patrol fleets of up to 200 ships in size....
It's pretty impressive. And downright terrifying when the entire fleet warps right up to you and the only thing that saves you is the gate cloak and their burning desire to get to the other side of that gate and see who is waiting.
As long as players are doing this, I'd rather leave it up to the players. They're much more interesting to watch. Wait, CCP kills kittens now too?!-á - Freyya

It IS more exciting to watch players interact, I agree. Sometimes pushing the envelope a little makes things exciting, though. Instead of CONCORD, how about the local native military or police forces? Being able to spar with them instead of getting insta-gibbed by CONCORD could make for some exciting fights. This would also balance out raids in say 0.5 systems by the native pirate factions as well. It is in some way already done with incursions, I suppose but why not add another element to the game?

The only exciting fights are against other players.
Keep the boring CONCORD / Navy / Police NPCs in highsec.
Even better, ditch NPC police even in highsec. |

This is a terrible idea. How is being wiped by NPCs at all just or fair? Just because you suck at PVP and whelp stuff doesn't mean people playing the game within the rules should be arbitrarily penalised.
More to the point you can kill CONCORD in various L5 missions so in lowsec clearly their power is not absolute. The CONCORD you have in your mind is purely a construction of highsec, which frankly is an area of space that could stand to bleed a few dozen systems. https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=348015 T3 OHing subsystem review and rebalance https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=290346 LP faction weapon store costs rebalancing

Making a personal attack is useless.
CONCORD was altered to be the way it is now for economical reasons. The primary function of this game is for the creators to sustain their own company and profit from it. They've struck a fairly decent balance throughout the years between keeping their loyal fan base and attempting to get new customers.
There are a number of people who would like to shake things up in the EVE universe and I am certainly one of them. For an in game universe so large to have such repetition is not optimal. It isn't as broad of a universe as it once seemed.
And about being fair... It's EVE, right? |

Fair doesn't mean letting people through unless they flag themselves for combat. Fair means that both parties have a consistent rule set to work with and that preference is not shown to one side or another at a ruling level.
Lowsec needs more entry points its true to help reduce the effectiveness of gate camps at locking down lowsec constellations. But how many more? Not very many infact. What is more important is creating more lowsec space and as I've said elsewhere 0.1-0.5 could be lowsec and 0.6-1.0 be highsec. This additional hundred/s or so extra lowsec systems without the ability to moonmine or otherwise become fortresses of bigger groups would go a long way to fixing lowsec saturation in entry systems. Removing all npc stations from 0.3 and lower might do a world of good too meaning that people determined to live there will need to support themselves instead pf storing billiona inside free accommodation. https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=348015 T3 OHing subsystem review and rebalance https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=290346 LP faction weapon store costs rebalancing

I was joking about the typical "EVE is a hard world" trope.
There is a lot of validity in everything else you just mentioned. And the point is the same as mine in the end: we want to see more interaction. I flew 67 jumps yesterday evening and passed maybe 15 other pilots in nulsec. I flew through more warp bubbles then I could count and didn't get shot at until I was at a low sec choke point. I lost a day old rookie ship and continued warping through more areas. It wasn't a big deal. But seeing all that emptiness brought me to think about possibilities for more interaction. Whether that interaction is with other players or not--having more is always better.
The added threat to gate camping in low sec is a nice difference too. Instead of just zoning out at a gate waiting to kill someone (we call this false crack!?) actually having to run or try and fight someone on more equal ground.
There have been a lot of suggestions essentially requesting more interactivity in the game world. I feel that more interactivity with NPCs, pirate or empire, is a bonus.

Having faction police on lowsec gates and then having them escalate as they get killed might provide some more incentive to pirates to use sec tags or otherwise fight in belts/sigs/anomolies instead of sitting on gates. Just a thought. You get a bit antsy when Cal Navy drops 4 carriers and 10 dreads on you in a 0.4 system. Do you escalate too and risk being ganked by enemies or do you get off the gate and stop being a loser. https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=348015 T3 OHing subsystem review and rebalance https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=290346 LP faction weapon store costs rebalancing

It also provides an avenue for players to see ships they might not otherwise find. I've played for years and only rarely seen capitals deplyed. Per another thread I have made link in sig btw this could help savvy groups alleviate certian lp store tag shortages while presenting significant risk from scramming/webbing rats. It's only a theory. https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=348015 T3 OHing subsystem review and rebalance https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=290346 LP faction weapon store costs rebalancing

Not supported.
OP, creating random unavoidable NPC content such as this would not only be annoying but be another disincentive to cap use in LowSec. Consider as an example if you had dreads sieged on a POS or a carrier in triage, mid-cycle a CONCORD fleet lands and blaps them massively disrupting the fight or potential fight you were working on.
You should also consider that the majority of PvP activity in LowSec do not involve or revolve around gate camps. NBSI shall be the whole of the Law |

I didn't know you could have dreads in low sec.
I am still learning the game.
Just trying to formulate some ideas.

Not bad. Would have to be on gates only though. We don't want PVP in an anom or at a POS being interrupted by this. It's perhaps a good way to keep the entry points clear.
Combine this with literally doubling the PVE rewards from low-sec missions/anoms/sigs and bringing the sexiest ores into the belts.
Then perhaps we have a lowsec worth living in. |

That is really quite an ironic posting. You are using exactly the same argument that people use against ganking in Hisec. Let me reword it for you. This is a terrible idea. How is being wiped by gankers at all just or fair? Just because you suck at PVP and whelp stuff doesn't mean people playing the game should be arbitrarily penalised.
I know we all love our own playstyles , whatever they may be, but I can see benefit in the OP. There should be opportunity to fight or get TFO, so faction navy rather than concord, should be the mechanism, with good bounties to be earned. Sort of mini LS incursions that drop on the gate or belt, that lo sec players can benefit from too.
Try to see the benefits too, you at least are in a combat ship and not a helpless victim. There is one EvE. Many people. Many lifestyles. WE are EvE |
