After spending an hour or so trying to get people together from my npc corporation we had a nice 26 people newbie gang in frigates and some cruisers (1 battlecruiser, yay!) ready to roll. Of course we knew they would be waiting for us since we made it pretty public in the corp chat, but we figured we would just go for the fun of it.
So we did. They waited at warpin and opened fire on us. It was my first big fleet battle and we all had a great time. We all died in the end, but took a t2-fitted battlecruiser with us to the grave. Fireworks was pretty.
Every newbie had a fantastic time, which was the point of this thing really. It was never about winning the fight. We knew they would be waiting. But now we got 26 newbies who cant wait to get back out to 0.0 to fight. Everybody had the best time in eve ever.
So... just wanted new players to eve to read this. Its fun to fight in 0.0 if you are in a gang. So drop that stupid mining laser at least once a week and go fight someone. You will get hooked for more.

This was one of the most entertaining things I've ever done while playing EVE. 26 people who were more than willing to get blown apart, most of them less than a week old, heading out to 0.0 space to attack whatever they came across.
The killmail for the one ship that we confirmed a kill for was hilarious. After a fairly long laundry list of the "involved parties" was the line:
**** Truncated - mail is too large ****
Made me chuckle.
Thanks to everyone that came along, I hope you had a great time. We will be organising a similar sortie soon, i'll be contacting you all nearer the time.
Special mentions go to Normel and Jennifer Steiner for bringing a Blackbird and a Brutix, and dying alongside the rest of us.
Also thanks a lot to Jim McGregor and Drako Krakin for bankrolling this mission with 100M ISK that was shared out to all involved. Each lemming got 4M to make up for the gank and podding :) It's great to see older players encouraging newer ones to get more involved and experience the full force of EVE.
Now to get a TS server sorted for the next suicide run....

Nice job. It's all the effort that counts. I know BoB has come to our space numerous times IRON and NFC have enegaged Cmd ships, Recons, and pretty much anything else they throw at us with t1 ships. It's always good fun and BoB are good sports really. Sure its fun to torment them but its always better to make a stand and fight them.

So cool to see so many people from a noob corp co-operate like this :)

I was about to, but when i was going to take the screenshots i went like "oooh, lights.. rainbow.. mushrooms?" ...and forgot about the screenshots. The second later my ship was killed and I rushed out with my little pod.

I love ganking nublins in m-0, its one of my favorite passtimes. You'll find if a few of you go and get some good bookmarks for that system, you'll have an easier time of organizing resistance to the overseers. If i'm floating around in my crusader of doom i would be more than happy to show you guys some fun!
