Ok I am total noob to eve, but I was introduced to this game by a friend of mine, I was loaned some isk as i wanted to start my own corporation .
I was told entering space was abit risky, but I like taking risks , I was travelling through Pure Blind in MQ-NPY when I came across 2 pirates and some1 from Starshine Enterprises, needless to say I was targeted and podded . I like to look into who podded me in detail, and the guy from starshine is an anti-pirate, according to his corp bio, so why did he pod me? and what is an anti-pirate doing with pirates?

I advise that you stay in 0.5 and above for at least a couple weeks. Yeah you could go lower but hey, 0.5 asteroid belts provide a challenge enough for a new player.
Once you're ready, go on over to a 0.4 or a little lower to try your hand at survival.
0.0 is the last place you want to go. I don't even go there yet, and I'm almost a year old (which is still new compared to most people but nonetheless you can see how long you might wanna wait before going to 0.0).
Good luck and welcome to Eve. ___________________________________________

From what I understand a noob corp is what we all start in, but I had setup my own corp Digital Delusion Industries :), so in a way, yes its a noob corp, but I thought I would be safe cause of the anti-pirates around.
Could some1 post a link to this NBSI policy, I would be intrested in looking at it :)
Thanks in advance.

NBSI, Not Blue Shoot It refers to the internal policy of many corporations and alliances (in low security space) to shoot at any player who is not already placed on positive standings to the alliance or corporation in question. (+5 standing displays a light blue plus sign on the player's ship in the overview, and +10 standings show as dark blue)
I hope that clears up how the policy works.
Which means in order to not be shot by corporations who use the NBSI policy, you have to get them to set standings to you to positive (and blue)

Welcome to 0.0 mate
NBSI is the main policiy in a lot of 0.0 Player controlled regions, get standings - or get dead. Thats pretty much the way of it in this place.

Starshine Enterprises is a member of GAIA (Galaxia Union), who is at war with Frege in PB. A good deal of the action happens around MQ-NPY.
Generally speaking, unaffiliated n00bs in war zones = enemy spies, hence the poddage.
None of this makes Starshine a pirate corp any more than it makes you a victim.
Thank you for visiting Pure Blind....come again.

NBSI gives 0.0 alliances and anti-pies something to shoot at when they find you - can't blame them, its empty in most of 0.0.
It's really meant to keep out spies and people that would mine their ore and profit off their space without paying them. If you want to move into there, find a 0.0 corp there and see if you can't pay them or work with them for positive standings so they and their friends won't shoot you.

A NRDS policy?
Anyway, NPC corpers are shot on sight in 0.0. Talk to New Dawn or Forces of Freedom though, they're the alliances that are still carebearing about in Pure Blind. Neither of them are NBSI, and at least New Dawn doesn't seem to really have any stringent recruitment policy whatsoever.

when you approach the EC gate in Torrinos, just eject and send your ship through. It cuts out the middle man that way. --

People like to give themselves good names, hence the "anti-pirate". Everyone and his dog in EVE is anti-pirate. Of course they do kill everyone they can find who isnt allied to them...
Pirates at least offer ransoms once in a while. I prefer those.
What to do about it? Easy. If you find a member of a hyper-territorial alliance in low-sec, blow him to hell.

If you really knew anything about Pure Blind you'd know there's no carebearing here. And btw, nice forum alt oh so brave player.

all you need to know about NBSI is
Not Blue Shoot IT!!!.
means when in an alliance and you see another alliance member in space, they will have a blue + tag on them means friendly.
If they dont have a tag at all, its open game, unfortuantely being you are not in any alliance ( Im assuming ) you will be a target for all corps in that area good or bad. So if you wiosh to fly through there WATCH UR ASS! =)

I prefer VETO's policy. Sort your overview so it dont show your corpies and your mates. Anything showing on your overview is a target

Actually, I prefer 0.0 to empire space. 0.0 is generally empty and when you see someone, you instantly know if he's a friend or an enemy. In empire, you have wartargets stalking you among 400 people in system, high-sec pirates, lag and loads of insignificant stuff distracting you.
To the OP: welcome to 0.0, sadly that's what it's often like. Some tips for the future:
- fit nanofibers and WCS to your hauler instead of expanders. - if you can cloak, all the better. - fill midslots with ECM and a sensor booster (if you get locked, you have a chance to break the lock of the scrambling ship, allowing you to warp to safety. Tanking a T1 industrial is a waste of time). - Use a scouting alt or a friend in a shuttle travelling one jump ahead of you. If there are hostiles in system, you'll know in advance and can cloak/log off/whatever. If the scout gets podded, it costs you only a shuttle.
Good luck in the future.

You weren't pirated. As far as I know pirates pirate for ISK - I think it's fair to say that no-one is expecting to make money shooting newer characters such as yourself - if they use weapons that require ammo then I expect shooting you cost them more than it did you.
With respect, starting the game then setting autopilot straight for 0.0 and expecting to be ok is somewhat naive.
If you'd like to reread your own story told from a roleplaying angle go here. Due to my innate cynicism, I expect you're already well aquainted.
