Soon it's a day and my portrait still hasn't updated.
Now don't mistake me for crying here because I wanna see my new look ...
... *snickers* xD ...
... but seriously, it never before took THAT long.
Except maybe at the kronos release... but why would people make so many portraits NOW?
Is there new stuff in the NES I have missed?
Anyhow... as I think it's easy to miss issues regarding this,
I thought I'd post it here.

Same problem here. None of my characters' portraits have updated today. I've logged in and out and cleared the cache, to no avail. |

Nice name!
It's not a local issue. Usually you see a local copy ingame,
but have to wait until the server renders a HQ version,
which I believe is simple supersampling.
One can't do anything but wait,
but the timeframe indicates either lots of new portraits or an issue.

I almost chose My Special Area (is primary target, hurhur) but I thought the novelty would wear off rather quickly, so I went wiv a good ol' British name instead 
Oh well, will just have to wait. |

I just learned that as a result of my constant efforts to raise awareness for avatar gameplay, players have rediscovered character customization after not touching it even once since beginning the game. this has caused a backlog of work for the character avatar server, and it will never catch up.

my campaign for avatar gameplay is still a go, however.

I saw your portrait in another thread, the 'what are you listening to today' in OOPE, and noticed how we have same background and I'm not the only one whose portrait seems a little bit... extra dreamy?
did you notice this too? Just curious if someone else is noticing the same thing. I don't know what your portrait looked like before.
