Armies have been using UAVs like that for a while i think, but cool nonetheless

Yea pretty similar to some RC helecopters ive seen.

Oh of course, its just not commonplace in civilian areas for civilian law enforcement purposes. Also, the main reason I posted it, was the title and the plentiful use of the word 'drone', rather than UAV or something similar.

This is a somewhat sad alternative to the airship industry I had hoped CargoLifter would pioneer.
Sadly, all the shareholder's funds from that IPO dissipated into the great beyond.

I once saw a show of a contest between colleges to try and develop a flying robot able to recognize objects and then carry them from one point to another. Last I checked none of the colleges that entered suceeded in the task. It is none the less a step closer to Hammerhead II's.
