I begun my 3rd level missions right after the nerf patch (lucky, huh?). While I heard that before patch implants were dropping every 8-10 missions, I obtained only one in 35 missions. Not (still) complaining here, I'd like just to know if it is working the same for you guys.
Thanks for your answers !
P.S. Complaint: The compensation for lvl 3 missions sucks and I'm begining to be a lil bored of doing 20+ jumps for 30-50k ISK...

IŠve got 2 implants doin 14 missions so far.
About the compensation. Get yourself an agent with better quality (Awesome). Then you get more cash

True, but it won't affect how often you get an implant. -------------------------

So it looks like just a matter of luck (gotta train the luck skill one of these days ), well I'll just keep doing more missions then...

Not willing to lose (or maybe I should say invest) more time than I did on another agent, as I said I am 'a lil bored' about it, crappy isk rewards are a minor nuisance for me when the BIG reward is in sight (even if getting as rewards Miner Is or 1k pirate loot looks like a slap in the face ).

It most likely will. Just like referrals are more likely with higher-qual agents.
(They'll still be rare though.)
The reduced drop rate isn't THAT bad. The prices have gone up to compensate. ------------ Ezra Cornell pe0n, Xanadu Corporation |

Edited by: Harliquin on 28/09/2003 06:47:03 I getting on average 1 implant per 6 or 7 hours playing (about every 20 - 24 missions)
which is pretty poor - its not like these missions are interesting and for some reason the rewards have taken a hit as well.
Oh and they seem to of nailed the insta mission as well so you can't go off and mine for 15 mins while waiting for the next one.

Edited by: Kaine Vulpayne on 28/09/2003 17:24:04 yes i noticed that the same mission now very soon appears with other target stations and commodities, at least every 2 days (sure) or even every day (quite sure) they are rerolled.
thus it isnt any longer useful to prepare more than about 3 missions on every target station, they will change too soon, except the agent's station where i still hoard the possibly desired stuff.
so i have to fly more missions, i guess my mision frequency is at least halved and so is my reward and my chance of getting an implant mission. I didnt get even one during the last 3 days, ok that is only about 20-30 missions (i had other stuff to do )
P.S. maybe the time bonus should be raised to raise my motivation , still i now have to fly the ass out of my ship to maximize my mission throughput, my agent already is suspicious, why i not longer fulfill her desires within seconds

I currently get about 98k per mission for my lvl 3 agent (awesome +18, +5) so I find it worthwhile, jus' hangin in for an implant.

I posted my stats in another thread around here so I won't repeat them.
Lvl 3 agent is exemplary. No failures. I did pass on one mission and felt as guilty as sin with the agent reply at mission 50 or so.Lost 3 missions worth of corp faction because of it. Mission 56 and well beyonnd the point of giving it all up for good and I talked to my agent one more time. Mission 57 yeilded a willpower implant providing I supplied 20 Holoreels. Finally I got something. Mission 58 another willpower implant. Huh? Mission 59 long haul and recieved 3 gamma s crystals. Mission 60 another willpower implant. Seems the game somehow knows just when your about to pack it in. And then it goes to the opposite extreme. I'll never figure it out as it appears to be totaly random or maybe time of day based. Too bad only Willpower for Mins but maybe that will change. Also maybe because its Willpower it drops more often then say memory or inteligence due to the prices. I have no idea how often charisma drops as its the lowest of them all.
Now I seem to have triggered new missions as I'm starting into the miniature elctronics missions etc. Who knows how it all works, I'm glad I finally got something though. I was starting to think they turned them off and didn't tell us this time.

Yeah, it does seem like their still dropping way to much - I got another 3 already today alone :( I hope the new ones are harder to get than this.

Oh I've also not had any of the drop special (rare) item missions either

Edited by: PhamNuwen on 29/09/2003 20:46:28 Edited by: PhamNuwen on 29/09/2003 10:51:19 Same here I did more than 40 missions, no drop of implantats after the patch.
Before the patch each 10..20 missions I got one.
Maybe the counter is reseted if the server is going down?
Edit: I got two in 6 Misions now (and 2 agents more lvl2 and lvl3)

I haven't noticed any difference. Maybe I'm just getting lucky now....or really unlucky before the patch.
Three a day is what I got yesterday, haven't tried today.

I used to get an implant roughly every 9 missions with my Awesome Lvl 3 agent. Got an implant at 9, 27, and 36 missions for him.
Since the last patch, 37 missions later I recieved 2 things from him: Jack and sh*t. Only now, the same lame, boring missions seem to have restarted, so I told him where to stick his missions and went to start off with a CONCORD agent.
Probably won't ever see an implant from CONCORD, but at least there, the factions with all my races will go up at the same time and I can start repairing my standing with the Gallente Federation (Currently -3.4) ========================================== Hobbies: Seeking out the Village idiot and making sure I'm smarter. So far, so good!! |
