I usually have very little trouble with login lag. Now I can not log in at all. It gets to the progress bar of "logging in" and sits there. I went out and one hour later it is still sitting there.
I initially had a problem and of course the 1st GM reply to anything is the cut and paste "delete the cache" so i backed up my cache and deleted. I try to log in, same
I reinstalled the game. same.
This is not account based. I have two accounts and same on both of them. I am unfortunately not at home and dont have some of the tools necessary to dig further.
Any ideas on how i can get logged in? And what do i do now?
please tell me something besides the "other" petition. I'm in the hospital and would like to have something to do in the next 3 weeks before its answered.

I am having the same issue as of today. Somethink goofy on the server? Who knows...

I had the same problem. Once I deleted the machonet directory ( part of the cache ), I was able to log in.
As for what was in the machonet directory that would prevent me from logging in, I have no idea.

I am having the same problem. I just built a new PC and so far cannot enter Eve. It either hangs on the log in or the character selection screen. The only way out so far is the ESC key. I have installed the latest drivers for all my hardware:
Win XP Home
AMD3500+
1gb Ram
GeForce 7600GT
Audigy 2

After 10 hrs i came back to the computer and was able to log in with no problems. Quite fast too, no log in lag. I changed nothing, like said being away for 10 hrs, so it must have been something server side. Yet we saw nothing from CCP, and despite complaints they are usually pretty good at announcing these things. Strange and i'm afraid to ask about problems that suddenly fix themselves cause if I ask it might breatk again :)

Well my problem appeared to be on my end afterall. I took out my wireless NIC and used a direct connect to the router. Everything seems to be working fine now.
