Actually it depends on what style guide you're following, and whether or not the ellipsis indicates an omission in a quote or a pause. " using MLA or Chicago style (AP somewhat frowns on using an ellipsis in this way rather than to condense quotations, so we'll ignore that), and I don't think too many people would argue that preceding a response with a pause is any less valid than finishing a response with one.

ISD I know you're doing your job and that's fine, but I don't think anybody on this forum actually cares about the forum rules.
Within reason, obviously I don't condone threats to somebody's real life persona (and it actually makes me mad since if somebody does this they are seriously ****** in the brain to actually wish harm to somebody in real life over a game), but sometimes when somebody starts talking **** you just gotta talk **** back. |
