Hiya,
SO I thought I'd try COSMOS missions, but the only federation navy agents who will talk to me both say come back later?!?
How later do they mena, should I just log and try in a few hours or what? This whole COSMOS thing looks to be quite fun but is a bit confusing

I think it may mean you need to complete some other mission first or you need better standing with Federation Navy

I have a standing of 8.1 with them, and what other mission.......
Really cosmos seems a bit too confusing and badly thought out

If those are the three agents in space at a gate, they required standings of +9.5 or higher, with the Federation itself (not with Fed Navy).

WTF!!!!!!!
Thats an insane standing, so how the hell do I actually start doing cosmos missions as I am gallente?? What agent do I speak to?

Yup. On the other hand, their "missions" are giving you free bpc's of Navy Issue ships.
Most of the Gallente agents you can actually run missions for, are Roden Shipyards people.

Hi Joachim, I just finished doing all of the Gallente Cosmos missions I could find. The three agents at the gate in Jolia are the last three you should approach in your case due to the insane faction standings required. The good news is: doing the other 7 or 8 Gallente missions in the constellation will raise your Gallente faction considerably. I went from 6.0 to 8.0 in just those 7 or 8 missions + 1 normal storyline that I had sitting in my log when I started them. If you are still hungry for more cosmos afte ryou exhaust the Gallente missions, try the Minmatar ones as well. I have never done a Minmatar mission in my life but I guess from all the missions I had done for Gallente that my Minmatar faction standing was plenty high to do everything except level 4 missions.
