Edited by: PKlavins on 19/06/2006 14:47:13 Im trying to use an apoc for lvl4 missions against guristas (mostly), and usually i do pretty well. only this mission involves killing 3 pith conquistadors. and i can't get their shields down below half even! here's my setup:
HI
3x Dual Anode Heavy Particle 3x Tachyon Afocal Maser 1x Cruise missile launcher 1x 'Malkuth' Siege missile launcher
MED 4x Cap rechargers (named)
LOW 2x Cap relays 3x Hardeners 2x Large named armor reps
as for skills i have gunnery lvl5, and large energy turret lvl4.
so what can i do to do more damage???

Take that Cruise or Siege off and stick a good Heavy NOS of to disrupt their rep cycles.
Take one cap relay off and stick on a good Heat Sink.

You need to deal mainly Kinetic dmg to guristas rats, other dmg types are less effective and i think that lasers are the weakest turret type to use out of the three (depending on ammo type for projectilles). Get a raven to lob out pure kinetic dmg (may be less dps but its ALL focused on the rats weakspot, Amarr ships are great at amarr mission of course due to amarr rats being weakest to EM dmg, your main dmg type.

here is where i get confused....my tachs have a 7.4x damage mod...mega pulses have only 4.4x...how are mega pulses doin more damage???

They fire faster, giving you a better damage over time(DoT). Also you will be fitting more of them(8 mega pulse over 6 tachs).

nope i tried a 6-pulse, 1 nos and 1 siege launcher and it didnt work. but then the bs went out of range quickly too...and im webbed at 2.7m/s...
is it worth trying other guns on the apoc? like, artillery has an 8.1 damage mod on my apoc...dunno what rails have...

Guristas's highest resist is EM iirc.
