What'd you think about the call? I agree with the announcer, they didn't have possession and the whistle wasn't blown so it should've been a penalty shot.. that's just me, plus I live in NC :P

Was an awesome game, Ward deserved the best player award, the stops he kept from going in were awesome. When Carolina scored that 3rd Goal, everyone in the living room just started cheering. Awesome game, glad to see Carolina win.

grats to all the carolinans (sp?) on winning the cup. i was also cheering for the canes, seeing as my home team choked in the first series... best team in the league my ass. now that leaves me with one sport i can watch: baseball.
well, at least we didn't have to deal with roy's cheap ass goaltending.

Great work Craig McTarnish, pull the goalie when the Oilers had managed no pressure in the offensive zone the whole game but lived on the counter attack. How often does it pay off really?
Had some money riding on 2-2 other than that I couldn't care less, Chris Pronger sucked ass and was rightfully put down.

You do understand why they do that, right?
It doesn't matter how many more goals the winning team scores - but if you can have someone trying to score instead of guarding the net you might just tie it up or even pull ahead in that time.
The Sabres did the same thing in their last game against the Canes - but sadly, to no avail.

What are you trying to play me for stupid?
i've played hockey for 10 years now but please try and explain me some new rules, or something i don't know, for i would love for you to try.
you try and judge how the play is going when your also listening to it on Internet Radio. oh please

Carolina won. Good for them.
For the guys here claiming to be Edmonton fans, grow up. Christ. We were not even supposed to get this far. Not saying to settle for second best, but here's some positives
1. Edmonton proved they can be team to be reckoned.
2. Great uplifting experience for the City in general
3. Whole of NHL now knows what it is like to play in Edmonton.
4. Edmonton Fans received loads of praise for their support of both anthems.
5. Roli's out, and Markanen's in. I despised the Conk, and Mark during the year, but he did his job, and was asked to do it in the bloody finals
6. Overall the entire roster age is younger with less playoff depth than some other teams. Man, what a huge building block this was for them.
There's more, but I can't be arsed to continue. To armchair quarterback after it's over? Whatever.
Regardless, congrats to Carolina. I can't wait to see what happens here in Edmonton next year.

When you hear on a biased Radio Station that and i'll quote "Edmonton is Pulling they goalie and they are not controlling the play well"
What do you think i am going to think? Think about the other view for a sec please. i didn't get to watch the game. and then not even 50 seconds later Carolina Scores Which made me think while i was driving home at 140 km/h what was happening.
Which was also mentioned above also,
So maybe you should make less assumptions before sounding like you know everything.
And Also Everyone has to remember 9 players on each team are up for free agency next season. so the chances of both teams being the slim.

Please stop trying to prove that your better then me, you mess read my statement and what i said thoughout the whole "i'm better then Rutoo" run
so really i never said pulling the golaie was hard to grasp you put those words in my mouth you usually pull the goalie when you are controlling teh play and not scrambing for the puck.

With 2 minutes left in the game, don't you think it was already abundantly clear the Edmonton was no longer in control?
Even without the goal on the empty net, Carolina still would have won.

If you include a question mark, it must mean you're asking a question. Maybe if you say what you mean instead of spouting out a stream of grammatical incoherency, you wouldn't be misunderstood so often.
One of the characteristics of someone who has "grown up" is the ability to take criticism. Until you can learn that, you've got no place telling someone else to grow up - and until you can learn to compose a coherent sentence, you've got no room to tell anyone else that they know nothing.
Craig MacTavish already has his name on the Cup four times - I think he's proven that he knows more about hockey than you do. I think he made the decision at the right time and for the right reason - keeping a goalie in the net wasn't going to help them even the score, which is what they needed. You can feel free to disagree with a 4-time Cup winner, but his results speak for themselves.

With 2 Minutes left, i was going 120km/h on the DVP trying to get home in time, because i was at work. Listening to US AM Radio.
You Assume that i didn't know what i was talking about with that statement, when mearly it was a question asking if it was to early to pull, because they didn't have proper support, Which proved to be true since Carolina got a Empty netter,
No Where did i dispute the call. of Pulling him early.

OMG!! I felt a chill when i saw the result!
I lived in Canada for most of last year (I'm English, btw) and was talking sports with a friend of mine over there, we were discussing teams, and I picked The Hurricanes at randon for the cup, he laughed.
I sent him an email yesterday...
