Edited by: Lance Sindari on 20/06/2006 19:27:58 After reading the guide on manufacturing, I have a question about this one part..
Licensed Production Runs Remaining : .....You may notice that some blueprints have this value set at Infinite (as a result of being copied prior to the patch which implemented this feature). This means what it says: you can use the copied blueprint infinitely without problems.
The question is, how much of a disadvantage does this put the post-patch players at?..How many of these infinite prod-run BP's are there...What items where these BP's primarily?..
If there are hundreds of these BPs for say battleships, then it serves no purpose to waste time researching/making copies if a few hundred players already have the ability to produce an unlimited amount while others need one copy for each ship...

Some blueprints are what's called BPO and BPC.
BPC = Blue Print Copy (limited number of runs)
BPO = Blue Print Original (Unlimited runs)
With a BPO you can make BPC's. I think you're a bit confused by the two so that should get ya sorted.

I do believe they were all pre T2, so they will all be low level T1 items. I think. __________________________________

And the infinite run BPC¦s have been converted to _max run_ BPC¦s. Late 2005 or early 2006, not sure.
So there are no more infinite run BPC¦s anymore.

Unlimited BPC's cannot be copied or researched, so if they don't previousily have a lot of research done to them, it will be better in the long run to buy an original and research the material and production efficienies on them.
