I am coming back to eve after a 2ish year break. Some of that time I spent just training skills, but most of it I just let my sub lapse.
About me:
I have 93 million skill points that are all pvp focused. I fly Mini and Gallente ships. I have a lot of experience in low-sec piracy, mission busting, and merc work. The vast majority of my eve career was with ToW flying in small--4 to 10 people--remote rep gangs.
I do own and fly max damage capital ships (Gallente); however, I am not very experienced when it comes to fighting with these things. My real experiences is flying cruiser through battleship sized hulls in small gang low-sec PvP.

I am in the United States, currently on the West Coast, but in the next two months I will be on the East Coast. I keep weird hours though because I'm a PhD student and primary daytime caretaker of my 3 year old, so we stay up late. This being the case, I can make almost any time zone on Earth work.
What I am looking for:
I am open to any PvP oriented corps that takes itself sort of seriously. Seriously enough to have standardized fits and regular ops. Since I am an old man now, and I wasn't so much when I started playing this game, a few things are extra important. I am looking for people who are likeminded, agreeable, and aren't assholes. I also now have children and a life, so guys that have mandatory ops every day probably won't work well.
As a ToW veteran I prefer low-sec/hi-sec work, but could be talked into 0.0 (just talking about this hurts my implants). The most important thing to me though is that you do lots of small gang pvp. I've tried 0.0 in a giant alliance more than once (always using my now sold alt Suzette Lavie). Being a nameless pion in a gigantic fleet is not my cup of tea.
Lastly, as stated in the title, in the perfect world I could join up with someone and not have to drop my corp. At least at first. The reason for this is that I'm an eternal optimist and I am hoping that in the next few months some of my eve friends come back to the game as well, and thus revive ToW. If this happens I don't want my already blemished employment history to be hurt anymore. Being in the same corp for 4 years just looks pretty.
I can probably be talked out of this though if it is a problem.

Check us out at Winds of Neptune. We're based out of Balginia and roam down to low and null quite often. We love to PvP, but we obviously mission run and mine and all that other "fun" stuff to keep our isk up. We're all on as much as possible, but some of us also have children and most all have jobs, so real life always comes first. We're not strict at all about what you do or fly, we just ask that you log on when you can and get on TS and have some fun. Join the in game channel "IBPH" and check us out. We're currently in a high sec war so recruiting is on a hold, but seeing as you'd like to just test the waters and not leave your current corp anyways, I'm sure we could work something out. You sound like an excellent fit for our corporation if interested. I am assuming you would want some details of course. We are based out of Placid in a low security system. Majority of our members are Canadian or American based. We do roll into a bit of pirating and run into Syndicate all the time. A bit smaller than a lot of the other groups. However we do get quite a few kills. A quick summary would be,
