The one and only OPTIMUS PRIME! I mean with a name like that whats not to love? Oh and the film will be ****, though not as **** as the thunderbirds film.
The trailer of that made me cry, I didn't dare subject myself to the film itself.

Jet/skyfire.
Not even up for debate that.... i spose the constructicons were kinda cool.. they formed into Devastator, without a doubt the meanest of the lot.

Took me ages to track down a toy back in the '80s, and literally 2 days after I got it, my brother 'made it fly' and it was destroyed :(

Soundwave had the best voice by a mile...
Oh and the movie may not turn out to be Thunderbirds childish either. The first ten pages of the script have been described and it seems pretty cool, although not adhering to the original story...lots of explosions. Some of the robots are different vehicles than in the cartoon...for example Bumblebee is not a Beetle but a Camaro...

Optimus was just the best, soundwave was one the colest tho with his little cassettes. Ahh the personal stereos i ruined trying to shove 5 cassettes into on slot cos i'd seen a group all jump out at once lol

My fave is either Galvatron (powerful, ruthless and quite insane) or Mirage (effete and he wasn't a typical do-gooder Autobot - he didn't really care about being good, he just wasn't evil. Also Mirage and Sideswipe were the first two transformers I had).
My opinions are based on the transformers comic that was available in the late '80s in the UK.
