Those of you who venture into Placid will have already noticed that it is a hotbed of vermin. Last I looked, it seemed to be winning the "Ghetto of Eve" nomination in another thread and sure enough, it hosts pirates, extortionists, and its own organized crime syndicate.
When we first got there, we got the mandatory wardec from Nubs (local pirate lead corp), which I get the impression they toss on everyone who stops by. Many of local industrials pay protection money to avoid such treatment, and we treated them to a couple weeks of fighting instead.
Recently though, we decided to take a ***** at one of the other local pirate corps - Mining Bytes. As an 80 man PvP corp, they weigh in at about exactly the same size we run. They're local and hostile, thus a good target for a war. Let's rumble.
First day was fun, with them getting together a pretty good sized fleet of battleships and support craft to chase our smaller cruiser group around. After a bit of this, they were feeling pretty confident and walked right into it when we swapped out two of our cruisers for battleships and doubled back onto their larger fleet. It broke, we spent the rest of the night sweeping up the pieces, and there was much joyful bloodshed for all concerned (sniff, even if I was the only battleship to die on my team).
Next day, fairly unsurprisingly, saw Nubs wardec us to help out poor defenseless same-sized Mining Bytes. All right, not a big deal. Bit more folks on the other team now, but red blinkies are good. More bloodshed and things blowing up occured. They ganked our little guys, we pulled down a HAC, and then once again, their side got a nice beefy gang going and we turned around and jumped it when they felt secure.
This led to a couple lost cruisers for our side, and 3 Force Recon losses for them. Thud, that's gotta be expensive.
So the next day - beep, there's a new wardec for us. Empire Mafia. Ok, another Nubs vassal corp. No real surprise.
But here's the part that really impressed me. The next day, not only does their other vassal corp dec us (RillaCorp), but they actually went out and hired high end mercs (Mercenary Forces) to fight too.
Rock on.
Because 4 corps with 3-400% the manpower wasn't enough to fight with, you'd better hire some mercs too.
Hahahahahaha
Anyways, that's why Placid is such a cesspool. If you want it to be less of one, then now would be a perfectly good time to come dec these thugs.
As for me, I've got lots of ammo, and a nice big batch of red blinkies to pad my kill list with now. See you in space.

Heh, I travel through Placid a lot.. So I'm pretty familiar with all those corps, happy to hear you are rising to the challenge, good luck.

Hmmmmm.....
To be honest NUBS., Mining Bytes, Empire Mafia, and RillaCorp really aren't a threat unless you are in lowsec and even then it's only if they out number you. Don't get me wrong they have some good pvpers, but they are only pirates. They are in it for the gank and loot...like all pirates.
Now Mercenary Forces on the other hand...have fun with them...those guys are pretty good at what they do, I am willing to bet they give you more trouble then the rest of the corporations combined  .

Hey even if you don't want to partake in all these shenannigans, be sure to grab a beer or a mug of hot chocolate and sit back for what is looking like fun times ahead!
I would like to apologise on behalf of our opponents for all the ship debris scattered around Placid, CONCORD really needs to look into hiring some street sweepers.

actually MF are the least of ur worries when they have to post shuttle kills and dont actually post all thier losses to make it look like they actually won. keep ur shuttles and haulers out of the fight and mf wont be around.

...and slightly off topic but which region of space are Smash getting chased out of this week that they have time to comment on anyone else's combat capabilities?

mining bytes are/were an industrial corp i think, and rilla etc all work with them. Not sure about the mercs though o.0

Nah. They're a local pirate corp. You can find them all over the killmails on Nubs' placid gatecamps, and boasting of wardecs on Eve-O against various industrials and 50 Klicks.
Nubs, Empire Mafia, and RillaCorp are all unabashedly pirate corps.
The Mercenary Forces rep (El Yatta) says yes they were hired by Nubs and are longstanding friends of the Nubs' CEO.
Though offhand, I'd say any 'friend' who already has 4 corps fighting with him and a Thanatos parked 5 jumps from our HQ in order to battle a corp of 6 month old chars, and then hires mercs on top of that...
Well I guess I'd be a bit more selective about my friends.
War has been fun vs a few corps, but we're just moving steadily towards maximum blobbage now. Snore.

Manticores are not Force Recon ships, and we don't boast on the Eve-Online forums.
The war between us and 50k is alot of fun and those guys are having fun. I don't see them on talking smack after the first couple battles as a matter of fact THEY want it to drag out for awhile cause it gives them a nice change up form mission running. As far as the rest of the pirates your talking about war decing you. It wasn't because we needed the help. Its because they flat out don't like you, it has nothing to do with us other than it gave them an excuse.

No, I hadn't said anything about your 6 manticore losses (3 of yours, 2 of Woofs, 1 for Jan Raupers). Your killboard is only missing Jan's loss out of this batch I see.
I was referring to the Falcons lost by Glory Ho, and Elric Tvar, and the Pilgrim lost by Mr Dogg.
Nubs tends to be sporadic about their killboad loss posts, but all three of those are listed on their own killboard. Or you're welcome to go search ours and get the more complete list.

Still following me around? I wont dignify it with a response, except to say last time SMASH accused MF of having an inaccurate killboard on this forum, the poster was made to look entirely foolish when it was carefully explained, as our kb is very accurate.

Nubs on the whole tend to post their losses i find, however what i have found is that their pvp abilities that generally on the whole in placid you can get some decent fights however in Vlillier theres a tad of blob warfare but then again in this day n age who doesnt use blob warfare. its a valid tactic i guess, a particular trait ive noticed is Nubs always fancy their chances at the sentries so pop by in a well tanked ship looking like a noob and just let concord do your dirty work, it might not be the best pvp but the loot tends to be nice.

MF was hired to fight ENH in high sec since a lot of the people in the corps of Nubs/Rilla/Mining Bytes are outlaws.

So lets set the record straight. I have read your internal forums ENH, and I have read the blatent lies you tell about me and the Nubs killing machine.
You cry about people using stabs in warfare, yet you use ew which is just as bad in my opinion. heck, if i had it my way, once aggress you have to stay until the end and cannot warp and ew wouldnt even be allowed in the game. it would be tanked out slug fests.
For those of you they say we are only powerful in groups, I will gladly take you on 1x1 in my trusty domi. you can even jam me out the entire time and you will still either die or run.
And for those of you that wish to clean up placid, there isnt a pirate in placid I do not know. NOTHING would make me, the nubs, or the other pirate groups in placid happier than a group of anti pirate carebears banding together and trying to stop the 'placid infestation'.
So please bring it, bring everything you got. Call your moms, your sisters, bring whole **** family for all i care, lets fight and get it on.

I do hope people listen to Mistress's cry for help. If anything, Placid is in need of more pvp population. It's pretty boring.
So please bring your ships and make sure you pay for insurance before you come, and don't bring any implants because unlike our carebear enemy that squish sound of an unwardecced pod doesn't make us sad.

Have fun fighting ENH and if they need to cry for help let them...it just proves that you are getting to them...keep up the good work and have fun. Don't let the forum politics get to you, it's just to **** you off anyway in hopes that you guys will make a mistake so ENH can expliot that mistake.
