I recently found out via Gankerbumping that my good friend Gorila Vengaza lost his wife. I am reaching out to both Anti-gank and Ganker communities to come together at this time to support him. My deepest condolences go out to him in this time of loss and we as a community should come together to support him. |

I am very sorry to hear this, I wished Gorila the best on his blog, and I hope he and has family will be ok. EvE creates many enemies in the game, but most of those are only game deep, outside in the real world, outside of the meta gaming, this is an amazing community, and I am sure both sides of the coin can say that we are sorry for his loss.

My condolences, I can't imagine what I'd do if my wife suddenly passed on. I hope...I don't even know. What do you hope for in this situation that doesn't sound completely trite?

If that blog entry is genuine, you're not doing the guy any favours by relinking it in GD and offering condolences. He's already posted on the blog that comments there are spamming his mailbox and NOT helping right now. This just directs more traffic to the site. Hopefully his friends will talk to him, but respecting his privacy is more important than offering condolences.

Threads like this are just sad, as in its sad it got started. Yes it sucks when we lose people, but why feel the need to post it in a very well known troll and tinfoil pit called GD? Its going to be torn into by those who are sus, and be read as an attempt for either attention or sympathy...either of which is a sick way to leverage a death to get support in a game. Gorila already has put down his post in his blog, he already is dealing with enough and your going to get the trolls of eve hammering him now (well more than before).
Here is an idea, let the guy himself post about it here if he wants it read by us scum, otherwise stop messing with rl deaths, youve already done enough harm. |
