He did the commentary through the forums for the first one, and was very very good at it. His commentary kept me at work, not working, but at the edge of my seat refreshing the page for his next update. For a lack of better words, he was incredible.
I know there are 10 "press" passes being given out to people to film the event, but allow Galaxion to be apart of the press so he can keep those at work updated through the forums.
PLEASE PLEASE let him comment on it..that is if he's available still...

Seconded, he did a great job last time and deserves the chance again.

He has already agreed to doing forum commentary again and will be allowed to spectate the event.

Unarguable he has done a great job last time. But I cant stop asking "Doesnt that give BoB an advantage?". I have read Blacklight's blog after the tourney and he states clearly that they knew what the Kaos team's tactic and setup was. Now I dont have anything personal against Galaxion or BoB, but an official ISD member would be much more appropiate for this if you ask me.
Oh well I'm not even participating so why bother...

Depending on real life schedules the IC will be there to do daily reports. which will be published on the news instead of the forum.

The EVE radio broadcats were also good for that. Think of it as analyzing the tape before a football match. --- Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising up every time we fail. - Emerson |

The reason Galaxion was good was that he sounded like he had actual PvP experience, other than some of the other nubbins spectating and trying to report. ----

Whether an official ISD rep doing this would be better or not you're paranoid and just a tad blinkered if you think we needed Galaxian telling us what other people's tactics were before we fought them.
The great thing about his reporting last time around was that he was just some random community member, genuinely interested in the event who just stepped up and did it. He did a great job.
Besides which Galaxian is rather well behaved, a tad too honourable and not quite as ebil as some of the rest of his alliance mates

Every single team worth their salt was and will be listening/watching for all the information they can get on their opponents. Just like watching video for professional, collegate and high school sports games. -----------------

There is a big difference to listening and watching a blurry video having someone click "loot at" on your ship and relay that info to your team. I was asked by an ISD member if they can report my fittings to Eve Radio and I asked for them not to. I don't know if Galaxion relayed any information to the BoB team, but we all wondered as he watched every match we were in.
If EVE did not have a Look At option, I would not mind at all then.
