With the advent of EVE: The Second Genesis (E:TSG) right around corner, we should start considering the idea of someone hosting a premier tournament event. I'm in San Antonio but that's kinda far from Dallas and Houston (It's at least the length of Iceland!  ) So I was thinking about Austin. If we plan it right, we can coordinate with Kieron and the Dev's when they attend the Austin Game Conference. This will give us a chance to meet up and not only talk about the Online game but the card game as well. Those of us that pre-order it will have loads of time to work with the decks and it will give us a chance to talk with those that aren't so sure about the game. They can come and watch us play and even try out a hand or two with one of our own decks. So what say you, Texas!

Strongest concentration of Texas players has been Dallas thus far, but that could have changed.

Austin has a pretty large eve group. We had a gathering at Dave and Busters here that was alot of fun and have been thinking about doing another event.

LOL. Sorry to hear it, bud but i'll tell ya what i'm gonna do. I'm gonna come up with a tactic where I have a lone frigate defend a remote region all by itself and i'm gonna call it the Malwyn Manuver in your honor. I hope you find some Coloradians to play with but nothing compares to Texas!

I'm in Killeen which is pretty darned close to Austin. Just name a weekend and I think I'll make the short hop down to Austin with the wifey in tow.
I'll sit and watch a bit, but I don't play CCG's anymore. MtG, LO5R and Shadowrun sorta burned me out on them. Although I do still collect sets, so I'll probably buy a few just to collect a set.

Living in Houston now, but Austin is definitely a central location. If we were to do something in Austin though, we should really try to hit up a non-corporate place (D&B) since they have so many amazing locally owned bars and restaurants.
I could think of tons to suggest (UT grad) but I will leave that to other's.

I'm in San Antonio, might give it a shot. Got a corp member in Austin and one in west texas. I also know another former crop member from Austin. Plan it and I will see who I can get to go.

I'm in San Antonio as well:) I travel to Austin quite a bit to see the girlfriend. If anybody still checks on this post, I'm game to have some sort of tournament/get together. Let me know.
