I used to do missions but i couldnt get past lvl 1s. I did about 50 missions for one agent, got my standing to 7, but never offered a lvl 2.
If I hop in my ferox and go to empire and find a good quality agent for combat missions, if i have 2 days off work, can i mission-spam until im at level 2 or 3 or is it going to take weeks?
I wont lose any of the missions until i get to lvl 4 in my ferox, trust me, i can handle 3 Nephalims at once in it :)

Missions require corporation or faction standing to advance within that particular organization. Agent standing is only useful to come back to that particular agent if your corporation/faction standing goes below their required level. Agent standing also improves the agent's effective quality, which means better mission payouts for you.
To use an agent, you need a faction or corporation standing of (Level - 1) * 2 + Quality * 0.05 (note that the order of operations applies).
I'm not sure if you could spam your way up to level three in two days... Get the Connections and Social skills up to level four, and it may be possible... Depends on how long you're willing to play, really.

Connections skill will let you skip level 1s entirely.

It sounds like from the OP's post that he was using the same agent repeatedly.
Different agents have different levels. What you need to do is to find a new agent, preferably one who works for the same corp as your original agent.

To which agents you can use within the corporation you're running missions for click the information button at the top right of the screen when docked. This will give you a list of all agents within that Corp , whether you can use them or their required standing to use.
Agents will not refer you to a higher level agent, you need to keep checking.

Well its the end of the 2 (Actually 3) days, I've just started doing Level 3 missions. I looked at the agents available and just worked my way up from 0 social skills up to connections 2, social 3 and negociation 2 and went from a -17 lvl 1 to a 6 lv 3 \o/
some of it was hard, especially the ones that force you to do it in a frigate, but it was fun, and now im making lots of money and i got some implants as well ;)
