When I look at the attributes of a Giant Secure Container it shows 2 capacity figures (490 & 3900), so how do I know which one of these is right ?
Also if I go buy one of these, how do I leave the station with it ? Do I have to put it in my cargo hold (if so am not sure if it will fit) ? Or can I anchor it while in a station (assuming I have anchor skill) ? [BTW I have an Imicus Frigate (320 Capacity)]

I believe 490 is the volume that the container will take in your ship? So, no, it wont fit in your ship. But I never looked at giant containers so Im not sure. ____________________________________ Taggart wants YOU. Join TTi! *waves his hand in your face in the jedi way* |

Nope, actually the 490 capacity is a screw-up. It's not supposed to be there. The containers add about 30% to their cargo space, so the giant ones take up 3000 cargo (you'll obviously need an indy) and they actually give you 3900 cargo room, a bonus of 900, or +30%. As for anchoring them, you're going to have to fit them in your cargo first, go out in space to where you want it, then secure it from there. Like I said above, you'll need an indy of some kind to get the cargo space to be able to transport those giant ones.

If I get a friend with 3000+ cargo space to collect it for me, will I be able to anchor it onto my ship ? And if so, will I be able to dock with a station with it anchored ?

you don't anchor it to your ship. Anchoring anchors it to a location space. They are nice to place near your hunting grounds to hold your loot.

Giant containers take up 3,900 cubic meters in your hold but their actual capacity is 20% more or 4,680 cubic meters.
If your hold is larger than 3900 you can fit it. Just drag it in and then drop it on site. Be sure you can anchor it and don't forget to set the password.

Um... No. Its 3000 cargo and provides 3900 cargo space. As stated in a previous post. I use 3 in my Bestower which has 9071 cargo with expanders. It gives me 2700 extra space.
