I have set up a corporation with +8 corp standing to a NPC corp. If i could sell it, someone could make jump clone and start doing business with them. but is it legal? =)

For ingame cash you can even sell your mother.. but once it involves REAL money, you better read the EULA carefully.

Wouldn't the buyers own standings ruin the standings you've earned for that corp?

You can sell a corp, but your example will not work. The standings of the buyer will just remove the corp standing.

Unless the buyer has no standing to that corporation.

If the corp is sold and the person who first caused that standing leaves, the standings will go down regardless of the buyers standings.

True, but standings only adjust each downtime. They've got anything up to 23 hours, depending when the transfer takes place, to get their jump clones set up.
And since I did this only last week - because someone wanted a corp standing of +5 to the Federation - and nobody on the Buy forums raised any concerns, I don't see any reason it won't be allowed. ________________________________________________

No, that isn't true. We've got one of them Caldari corps that none had standing to (character who had left corp two years ago), it was steady on +7.7. That is, until MrBigStar joined... New sig coming soonÖ Tuxford's good for EVE. |

No it dont Lets say i have +9 with caldari navy, the corp will get +8.5. If someone that have NO standing at all with caldari navy (-0.0 is a standing, must not be listed) the corp standing will remain the same, even after i left. Done this already but for my private corp. Now i did with another and i could use some ISK =)

Edited by: Aramendel on 24/06/2006 14:17:20 Why so complicated? Just sell jumpclones directly, if a player wants one he pays you, joins our corp, setups his clone and leaves again.
Plus you get isk for every person who wants a clone, the other way one could "buy" your corp, let 20 other people join and setup a clone.

I thought if you go back to you starter faction corp you could set up your clones and fly them to where ever. No need to apply to another corp for the standing.

Corp standings are based on the standings of members of the corp.
There's nothing wrong with selling empire jump clones, but people can't have ANY standing towards that corp when they join.
