Tips for fellow Concord Waste Recovery Team members!
1, Create an amarr alt, 18 hours training will get you a bestower, slap on 4 basic expanders and 1 giant secure can and you can carry 7600 cargo.
2, Use your map, filter for number of pilots in space and head for the bright red dots.
3, Target systems with lots of people in local but only a few belts (unless working in teams)
4, Find some recovery buddies to work with, the faster you can recover the waste, less ore for the carebears. It will also speed up the whole belt sweeping process. Leaving more time to visit other systems and recover more waste.
5, Make a "safe" bookmark in the popular carebear systems. Safe meaning a bookmark not close to any planets, belts, stations, moons, suns. This way when you find the can with 200k scordite waiting to be salvaged, you can dump it all at your "safe" bookmark to save time docking. Using this method you can easily haul 3 times as fast as the carebear, more ore for you, less for the carebear. Once you have finished your sweep of all belts in the system you can then haul from the "safe" bookmark to a station with little hassel.

6, Keep an eye on local, not only is it funny hearing all the smack talk after a sucessful recovery mission, but you will also get warning of any incomming hostile action.
7, When approaching a potential recovery item if hostile action is looking likly (happens rarely) Position your approach so that directly oppersite you (other side of recovery item) is something to warp to. This will enable a quick warp if needed, afteral bessy's dont turn too quick. As soon as the first shot is fired, warp to that point and warp back to the belt. If your quick you will get back in time to see a carebear ship being blown away. Also if you have a turret fitted you may even get a carebear corpse to recover!!!
8, Most carebears wont open fire until you have cleaned them out. A full load of recovered ore will easily pay for a replacement bessy so dont be too worried about loosing your ship. Personally i like watching carebears get taken down by our Concord workmates so often sacrifice my disposable ship for this reason alone.
9, Have a trader alt for shifting the huge amounts of refined minerals you refine/recover. Techell wont buy of known members of Concord's Waste Recovery Team. However, they do buy of your alt and pay pretty good prices.

10, You can make much more isk out of carebears than true noobie friagte miners. Try to limit your recovery opps to cruiser/bs miners, give the poor frigate guys a break. They have a hard enough time finding the roids as it is.
11, Get to know your fellow Concord Waste Recovery Team members. Only together can we rid noobie space of the carebear menice.
12, Patience will pay off, if your having a dry spell, do somethign else for a hour or so. Best recovery time during the week seems to be after 5pm (GMT)
13, Last and most importantly have fun and never get bored sensless mining rocks again.
Just a few basics ive picked up during my first few weeks of waste recovery. Hope they help any budding Concord Waste Recovery Team wannabes out there A proud member of the Concord Waste Recovery Team |

Shooting can thieves and recycling the crappy stuff they drop
Originally by: cashman It's time for Eris to get a clue. CCP should make a statement about this.
It's the exact same things as what Zombie did, you may not attack in "safe-areas" (empire/within sentry range) without loosing your ship.

Simple: He's lying. I'm not aware of any ore buyers that are paying the isk necessary per unit of ore to total up to a million off 1.0 ore.
Hell you'd have to do it with some of the high end ores, which you can't afk mine unless you really work at it.

I haven't actually had 1 mill in my wallet all at once yet - keep spending it on new skills and the like, but I reckon I've made about 4 or 5 so far mostly killing npc rats and recycling the loot. The only mining I do is for corp mineral needs for our ship production.
Why is it that when someone tells you that there are over a billion stars in the universe, you believe them, but if they tell you there is wet paint somewhere, you have to touch it to make sure? |
