2 years ago we lived up north and we came across a crazy bunch of Italian pirates called the Jokers.
The main characters were Jexter and Fist. Not only did these guys torture the mainstream traffic but they did it in style and showed respect to the victims.
Did these guys just fade out? i would love to know if they evolved into a bigger operation etc.
The thing i loved about them the most is they had a web site and everytime they fought they took screen shots and posted a little story about each fight.
Even when they lost a fight it was good reading.
I am sure all that were friends or enemies of the Jokers have a story to tell.

The Jokers were great, lots of fun to fight against. I don't really know what happened to them, they probably just stopped playing like a lot of old timers have.

Last time i've seen Fist/jexter in 5zxx & around was like february last year... but i think they quit eve as soon as they realized it got "blobsy". From our encounters with them(-BMK-)... they were rusty. Also they were very small corp, maybe 5-6 member at most, but at that time... eve had like 7k players.

A few months ago I saw one around paara (not jexter or fist). It made my day as I thought they might be coming back, guess I was wrong

I remember chatting with these guys in local. They were very polite folks.
I tried recruiting them and they just laughed at me :)

They tried to make a comeback late last year, but I think they got fed up with the blobs pretty quick.
Also, I think a lot of the tactics that made them powerful have either been figured out by the general eve populace, or changed/nerfed in the game mechanics so as to not be useful anymore.

ah the jokers...
jexter was lots of fun... we always had a good laugh and some interesting talks.
like some1 said though, we lose more and more old timers each day, but happens... eve has a turnaround like every other game.
d solo.

I did chat to jexter maby 7 months ago when i ran into him in local, he did mention something about beein comin back, since then he have not flashed green in buddylist for a long time.
Shame if they go, or not, as the history keeps them cool and at top but who knows how it would turn out if they turn up again :l

They hunted me in EC way back. They were very good at the time but like you say the tactics they used have since changed/been nerfed. They were very good at killing for such a small corp though. The old Torrinos population hated them.
Come back guys not all the oldtimers have left.

Thats one of the first eve-movies I've seen.. the jokers ransomming people in 0.0 in their scorps/blackbirds.. man that was ages ago

I killed jexter back in my noob days in what i would probably call luck (fitting a neut on a cruiser for pvp) but unfortunately had no more other encounters with them, and at the time didn have a clue as to who they were 
Is that website still in tact> would be nice to read it.

I think that's pretty accurate. I used to be pretty active around 5ZXX where they lived but you could almost see them loosing interest in the game over time. Dam mod stacking and gank fleets finally won over fists "god-mode" raven I guess

The Jokers were a good group for pirates. Had a real sense of honor about it all too.
My favorite Joker encounter was when Venture was corp mining in CCP in lower dek. Jexter convoed our fleet commander and offered to leave us alone for x million of isk. Our fleet commader counter offered with we'll let you haul for us and give you a split in the proceeds. Strangely he was silent to that offer. Didn't attack our op though.

I believe Jokers were the first to succesfully use cycle jamming..
Therefore 2-3 vs 7 was a good fight for them and they got known fast..

There's also old-timers reactivating their accounts! :)
Everyone needs a break every now and then.
Jokers movies definitely inspired me to go pvp, that's for sure! Their first movie was so properly eve-ish "dark" :)

I think one of my first kill mails (cruising 0.0 w/out instas in my omen vs. geddon ) came from the Jokers when I was a noob. And they smacked me by mail afterwards, which I found odd b/c there was no exchange before, during or after the pwning.
I always found them to be very comprehensive pvpers for this.

Jokers attacked the old TCE crew once upon a time out in fade way back when. They lost 2 scorps and got none of us. Needless to say they never attacked us again. We did get a lot of laughs watching them kill others though. :)

Yup, thing with the dmg mods thing it ment a bunch of 2mil sp guys could fly around in geddons and blow up anyone, this along with the ship module forum killed the best part of eve

This is true. Sightings have been reported in lower Pure Blind area, and even had someone screaming on TS that they see Fist in local.
