Whenever I try to access 'My Character' from the website to view my character's skills the page seems to get stuck in a loop with the URL getting longer and longer.
It is like it is stuck in a redirect loop.
Clearing cookies and cache has no effect and it happens to me on my other computers as well.
Any suggestions?

Mozilla Firefox, IE are both having issues.
Even Evemon cant log in usually to update now.

Hmm my evemon had some troubles a few days ago, the day after when they had the extended downtime. But is running normal now. Have you updated the java on your pc? Perhaps installing sun java could help.

Here is a workaround I use.
1) Login to the forums first with your username and password,
2) Once the forum shows you as logged in, immediately click on My Character link to access the page.
Sometimes you have to do this twice (1 to 2) ! :P
Hope it works out for you.

Unless I've gone to the forums and made sure I'm logged in first (and the forums seem to log me out a lot more frequently than any other forum I visit), here's what's been happening with me:- I click My Character on the left, I get a news page.
- I click My Character again, I get a list of my characters.
- I click the character I want, I get the news page again.
- I click My Character a third time, I get the list of characters again.
- I click the character I want, finally it shows the character info.
I believe this could all be fixed by not automatically logging us out all the time...

I get this type of loop every so often too. Mine is the login screen -> my character -> login screen etc.
The only thing I have found to help with this was to check the save login box at login. Though the behaviour also suggests that the browser is returning to a cached document as I have also seen it return to a previous login (second account) effectivly not allowing me to login to the other account. A restart of the browser cleared this problem.

Logging into the forums first and then the character screen did help. Thanks.
The browser definately did not have an old copy of the page cached as I cleared out all locally cached items and cookies, turned off the proxy server, and definately DID have the checkmark on to remember my login details. None of which helped.
The only things that works for me is to log into the forums first.
They still seem to have major issues with their session handling code in the web pages for this sort of thing to happen *sigh*

I think a part of this problem is due to the fact that you actually need to log in twice to access all parts of this website.
You log in at eve.com and Myeve.com...
Why they built it that way puzzles me but I think its related to that.
Nevertheless, even when logged in twice I too suffer from these odd loops.

If you get the character sheet is disabled message then you havnt got a problem viewing it. Its just its offline.
I use to have this problem, the problem seems to be related to your proxy/ip. I use a proxy and it works fine i can login and view character. If i disable proxy then i get the continuous loop of login screen.
I petitioned this months ago, and obviously nothing has been done of it.

Nothing to do with proxies unfortunately. This has only happened since the patch yesterday. 3 different net connections with 2 of them direct connection to the internet with no proxy or firewall in between. I have checking my character sheet for the last couple of days successfully in exactly the same environments

The website has always been buggy. The problem every reponse to this issue I've seen has CCP attributing it to something like cookies or other incorrect things. Until they acknowledge that there's a problem with the website, we're not likely to see any of it get fixed. :(

If you are referring to the character sheet being offline/disabled then ovbiously it has nothing to do with proxies. But i can 100% guarantee you that my problem with the login loop IS do with proxies.

Yup everytime i press the My Character (http://myeve.eve-online.com/character/skilltree.asp) i get redirected to Player News Center (http://myeve.eve-online.com/news.asp) I have logged into both Forums and My Account, logged out and tried different ways but i still cannot access it. Needs fixing pronto
