I'm in a sentimental mood.
Make it your goal to make 10 friends in EvE who you are willing to go and have a beer with in real life.
If you've never tried PvP in EvE it's quite possible you've missed out on one of the greatest rushes available in modern gaming. |

Any good? That's a matter of opinion.
From what I can tell though, it's probably your best option as a means to get back into the game. Solid PVP without the null politics getting in the way. No shades of gray. Just cops and robbers. Cowboys and Indians.
You log in. You fight. You log out.
If that's not what you are into anymore then by all means pick yourself up a builder or something. I suspect that you will, given your past, find it pretty boring however.

You are correct I imagine I would, I imagine when some little pirate war dec'd me I wish I had a pvp toon.
So... I have just bought one :)
