A small group of priks is hanging out in 0.0/slumpire. Flying around looking for something to shoot.
Whats this? A faction BS on scanner? Our covert ops goes and starts probing. Meanwhile, we switch out AF's and intys for BS's and HACs.
Our Covert finds him.
And he's running a mission.
So we head to the first gate, jump thru. Nothing. We move on to the next one. Nothing. Next. Nothing. Next. Nothing. Damn it, where the hell is this guy? Next. BINGO!
I spy a faction rattlesnake fitted with faction gear.
2 bs, 1 HAC, 1 inty 2 AFs, dictor and a covert ops jump on this hapless mission runner. And of course, after spending 15 minutes breaking his tank we get the kill.
His pod gets loose and warps. Congrats to him on being quick on the warp controls.
Total damage? 1 Rattlesnake. 4.5bn worth of ship and faction mods. Including destroyed items. (I'll try and get a full list of what we salvaged)

It was a great fight and the pilot was a good sport about it. I have to say I would not have reacted as well as this pilot. His first words in local? How you like my tank? Thats good sportsmanship. I'd be pretty upset about a loss like this, but he took it in stride. Kudos.
Out of respect for the pilot(by his request), names and locations will not be included. Nor will I post the kill mail here. If the pilot in question wants to share, I'm sure he will.
But I sure wouldn't tell anyone that my 4.5bn faction mission ship just got ganked.
In short. Thanks for the good fight and I hope we can do it again soon. 
(this is an alt of an involved player. Using an alt because this isn't about bragging, it's about what makes eve so much fun)

Wow, now thats a good sport if he was that calm about it. Congrats to you guys for getting him, and congrats to him for being so level headed about it.

Wow, that looks like a lot of ISK destroyed. How did what dropped measure up to what was trashed?

I wasn't able to actually see the can, my dictor took a bit of punishment and I had to bail right after his pod warped. But from what I heard and saw in chat, it was mostly faction gear of the highest order.
I'm trying to get an actual list from my corp.
