Edited by: Tarn Krillin on 29/06/2006 13:44:18 I just viewed Leilani's bio, and now I have "die" appearing in overview, in my skill list whenever I mouseover a skill, and in various dialog windows.
She's stalking me with evil intentions! ------

LOL. Tested and confirmed.
Edit: it seems to happen when the window showing your bio is resized to show just 'Take a look to the sky just before you ' - the 'die' is missing there then and shows in the overview instead. Yuck.
I can second this claim, it happened to me a few weeks ago. -----------

I opened her bio in station, then realized there was no overview in station lol
Anyway, when I undocked, there was "die"
EDIT: It's showing up randomly in other places. Like the countdown when you lock someone. --

This started happening on 6/6/06. Those who have not been saved will suffer endless podding until you have 666 skill points left.
Basically, I just wanted to overthrow all the main alliances in Eve and rise again to take my seat as the new emperor of the Amarr. What better way to do that then to sabotage everyone with an untrue heart who has not devoted themselves to my cause.
I got the idea for this when I heard about the "motivation" used by Robert Mugabe and his ZANU-PF party to gain votes before elections in Zimbabwe. Don't commit suicide, vote Dakini for emperor.

I've got this all beat.
I was playing Dragonwarrior 3 along time ago on my NES, and the game glitched while I was fighting 4 horned rabbits, and the game glitched, music slowed down, and the combat text just read "*Hero* softly soaps *Hero*".
I don't know if I took a picture of the tv with my parents camera, but it was really ****** up.
Then again I may have just been having one of those dreams where you were positive you're awake but you aren't.
Never had these weird smilies though.

What kind of desktop setting do you use for EVE, your text is freaking HUGE.

Maybe the recent yarrrdwar\uberware\etc upgrades have allowed the eve cluster to slowly but surely evolve a sentience, and this is Jita trying to communicate with us.

My text is not huge. Eve text is very small, thus I have it at a "normal" size.

Edited by: 31i73 on 20/10/2006 00:19:29 Sorry for necro, but I'm seeing smileys on my overview.. In 2 places: in the "selected item" place when theres no item selected, and I also see the smileys blinking when I lock. Strangeness and a bit creepy.

edit: the smileys also show in scanner for a second when its opened, and on top of browser window. I took a fraps of it, but it takes 160M..

Sorry, I cant. I really find this interesting, and id really like to know whats going on.
Maybe a GM can enlighten us?
and, maybe it has something to do with this eve.orb thing?
Quote: Just recently there have been a a number of players saying click this http://eve.orb.at/?634966275 in many of the channels both local at Oursulaert, Jita, Recruitment Channel and most probably hosts more. This is an information gathering exercise and if you allow the site to be trusted. That site is then able to gather information from your character.
Lets take the scenario and assume you have an accountant role. You have been onto that site for some reason or other and have given away your location or at least where you are operating. Players that have access to your character info could well track you down and hold you and your ship to ransom because you have access to the corporation wallet.
If you are a pirate and wanted to keep your location secret as you had a high bounty, again this information can locate you and a mercenary force could track you down. In my mind this is an underhand tactic.
To see the information that can be gathered in its full glory, you can either look at a screen dump here or you can see what is revealed by accessing this link and trusting this site. None of this information is stored anywhere, and if you use this link, Remember to remove the trust afterwards!
