first, i sank a pos in kor-azor prime with crappy standings. i did that to test the new changes coming out. i sank a compression unit and compressed some veld to check it all out. VERY nice! this expansion will change the way mining is done for good. sink a pos in high sec where there are no station, sink a compressor, boost from the orca in the pos and use macks to bring ore to the compression unit. the orca booster compresses and stores for easy mobility or just leave it in and use a jf to drive up and get it...
so this is correct right? the dev blogs have been saying standings are going away, and the test server reflects that.
then i looked and saw caps for sale in high sec.???!!?!?!?? whaaaa? i tried to purchased. successful i tried to undock. successful i docked, outfit it and tried to siege. successful then i "tried" to shoot the station...this was the message i received
17:49:16Combat751739 from CONCORD Police Commander - Hits
concord neuted my capacitor to zero instantly, i couldnt even run my hardners scrammed webbed jammed
i built a rev, 1.7M ehp, sieged on a station and was cut in 1/2 by concord 5.0
the whole battle did NOT last 5 seconds.
with this kind of fire power, why is it i cant take my rorqual into high sec? and, i didnt know caps were allowed in high sec even on the test server period...unless this is a magical weekend or something. am i missing something or did i just not know they were allowed in high sec on the test server?
again, with the ability for concord to patrol like this, my rorqual in high sec wouldnt stand a chance. even a dread in high sec would/didnt stand a chance..
to me, the age old "they're too powerful in high sec" argument is moot.
i want one of concords guns..just 1. |

Because i dont want people sieging up Hisec posses in dreadnaughts ...
Because i dont want people neutral repping with triage carriers...
Because i dont want people ganking subcap wartargets in tracking moroses or blap phoenixes with a webbie TP support guy or two...
And all off these things would happen withing 72H of you stopping me flying my capitals around in highsec...
Now should an exception be made for the rorqual? I'm not sure, i wouldnt be opposed to you building it in a highsec and with it unable to take gates it'd be stuck in there until you cyno it out, it was something that came up a few times around the release of the orca, but they probably dont want to start on that slippery slope of totally safe cap construction. |

what does that have to do with anything?
if a high sec pos needs to come down, what diff does it make what they shoot it with? if you rep an aggressor, you take on the aggression. i lost a logi ship one time to someone accidentally shooting the wrong target in high sec. which i was repping her during a war.
war is war. if they bring a dread, tackle it and bring it down. bring your own dread or carrier. bring some abc cruisers and destroy their support. then shoot the crap out of it.

Test server does have caps in highsec because when they seed the market every mirror they dont bother to weed out the highsec stations.
And its not that concord can kill a single cap, its that players will use this against each other, and imagine what happens when burn jita comes around, and every goon with a boosting alt drops on of these off 4-4 RRing each other. concord still has its limitations.
Hell, even imagine a neutral repping rorqual against one of you targets. What are you going to do now? No way your going to kill that rorq unless you undock about 10-20 vindis and hope his capacitor dies before his aggro timer runs out, god forbid he has other repping friends as well.
It opens highsec to the same blobability that plagues nullsec. In highsec its not as bad since subcaps can have different strengths and weaknesses against each other, but capitals are a very different game.
1 capital isn't much of a problem when it comes down to it. Multiple capitals are the big issue. This is why Chribba is allowed to have his veldnaught in amarr. He doesnt abuse it for personal benefit. If he did you bet your ass it would get kicked into the nearest scrapheap/lowsec system. |

Do not take the test server seriously. It is just what its name implies; a "testing" server.
And yes... capitals in high-sec (even the Rorqual) will be very powerful in high-sec... though not necessarily in direct firepower. They can instead provide an absurd amount of support in the form of remote repping, logistics, and jump drives. Change isn't bad, but it isn't always good. Sometimes, the oldest and most simple of things can be the most elegant and effective.

how about create a module that you can fit into capitals carriers, dreads, capindy, maybe on the supercarriers too, if you fitt this module this stuff deactivate your logistic/offensive/drone control limit/ and other stuffs what make completly useless in higsec but you can use the gates and travel with them in higsec and maybe even trasport with them. whatdayathink |

In space reffitting kinda makes that a bad idea, any module you fit on your ship can be offlined/removed basicly whenever you feel like it. |
