So im experimenting with a simple antimatter charge small bpo. I researched to ME20 and PE7.
When I go ahead and produce 10K charges it takes over 23 hours and 10K ISK. I'm better off buying them atm.
Skills I have: Industry 4 Mass Production 4 Prod. Efficiency 3 Refining 4 Supply Chain Mgt. 2 Lab Operation 2 Research 2 Science 3
Im hearing from others that it costs them 2K ISK and 20-30 mins to build that. What am I doing wrong, or what do I need to do with my skilss?
TIA!

Are you building 10K charges or 10K runs (each run builds 100 charges)?

So you're making 1M charges.

The biggest effecting factors on the cost to build are you Prod. Efficiency 3. to be competative in the T1 market you need to have this at 5 now-a-days & the factory your using. Each factory has a cost and generally the lower the sec status the system the lower the factory per hour cost is.
Also you need to consider that there seem to be many market orders put up by people who just havent dont the maths and are selling goods at less than cost. It's a missunderstanding my some of the smaller manufatureres that if they mine the mins they are free. They tend to forget to factor in the possible resale value of the mins in the costings and end up selling the good the build for less that the cost value.

Oke ... some numbers. Lets see if I get this straight :)
Difference between me20/pe7 and me0/pe0 on antimatter charge small.
17 secs per run 0.09524 wastage factor
Stats for antimatter charge small 100 runs (100pcs. per run, 10000 pcs. total)
Waste for me20: trit 1940 (3880 isk) pye 0
Waste for me0: trit 3640 (7280 isk) pye 350 (1050 isk)
Damage per job 100% (see question below)
Time me20: 2h, 18m Time me0 : 2h, 48m Cost me20: 1692 Cost me0 : 1848
Time saved: 30 mins (I need to make 20-somewhat runs to play even on the invested research time)
ISKs saved: 4606 (20 runs would be 92K saved, to illustrate the time invested by research).
Conclusion: My research has been a total waste of time right? If I had to do that again I would research to ME2 PE3 or something IF I would research this at all. I mean, I travelled 17 jumps to get to a research station only to wait in line to even start the research.
Why is (or better what is) damage per job 100%? It sounds scary and I want it at 0% by the looks of it. Whats the deal?
Thx again for all the help.

Research is never a waste of time until you get to the point where you're spending many runs of research just to save one unit of tritanium per run.
As for that damage per job, that cannot be modified. It just means that when it says one unit of tritanium, it takes it ALL. If it wanted 50 units of R.A.M.s per run and gave them 50% damage, fifty R.A.M.s would last for two runs. And so on and so forth.
