When I fit a drone link augmentor to a domi it lists a damage modifier of 1.15 in the attributes. However, when I view the info for an _unfitted_ link augmentor it does not indicate a damage modifier. Is this a bug, or are the drone link augmentors supposed to have a damage mod? If this is not a bug, my second question would be: Is there a stacking penalty for the drone link augmentors?

Hmm interesting, having a damage mod would be cool, and make sense, but no idea if its applied to the drones damage, is their anyway to reliably test this?

I've always wondered about the lack of drone damage mods, and also drone damage implants. Missiles and turrets get damage mods and implants, why not drones There's no drone implants of any sort... not fair!

Me too, we get a tracking link which I hear is only decent for sentries, we get a nav upgrade which in fact hurts the tracking (somewhat). So we need 2 mods just to make our drones move faster, and then we have one to increase the range, and if you do that then you need 3 mods so they can travel that range faster and track because they are moving faster... and none of these increase dmg like say a single BCS/Gyro/Heat sink does. Then you throw the lack of implants in too. Give droners a lowslot dmg mod please, bad enough we have rank 5 skills everywhere.

My highly scientific and mathamatical tests show a single light drone attacking a cargo can will kill it in 40 secs with 4 links and 45 with no links, only one test was done for each due to time constraints, but with a 5sec difference in time with 4 links on would imply they make bugger all difference to damage :)

Let me see, I am an extensive user of DLAs and have counted up all my damage bonuses from skills and Dominix. I think there is excess damage being done beyond what I can account for.
Gal BS 3 = 10%/lvl = +30% Sentry Drones 3 = 5%/lvl = +15% Drone Int 4 = 20%/lvl = +80% Total damage bonus = +125%
Base Warden damage = 50hp With bonuses = 112.5hp
But a wing of 5 Wardens with 4 DLAs on my Domi tears through a Serpentis Captain's hull in two volleys. That's 1800hp unresisted, which means they do 900hp per volley or 180hp per drone. They go through the same NPC's shields - 1200hp with 30% kin resist - in two volleys also, which adds up just about right (900hp - 30% = 630hp per volley).
If the DLAs actually bestow a 15% damage bonus each, then my actual total damage bonus is +185%, or 142.5hp per drone. Doesn't account for all the difference, but it helps.
Maybe I am missing some other bonus I get from something.

Another point is I have done the show info, docked, fitted, not fitted, online, offline, in space, not in space yadda yadda, and cannot get mine to ever show a damage mod

i aint a drone expert by any means, but how would it be possable for a mod in ure head or on the ship to effect a drones performce?? aint they supposed to be AI controled and seperate form the ship. if there are such mods in game they dont sound very realistic.
(i do realise this is a sci-fi fantasy game and realisim need not apply )
please dont flame me if im worng as i said drones aint my cuppa tea i have kile 40K sp in them lol

It doesn't, its a display bug, the effects were taken out after testing out on sisi and may have mirrored over inbetween like Kali's changes to missions did.

Yeah, I tested this some more with a corp mate and and it seems to be just a display bug. I guess I'll just file a bug report.
And I so wanted the damage mod...

Yeah the only way to really test it would be vs a corp m8. Check for the perfect strikes on the same area (shield, armour or hull if your corp m8 has big brass ones).. I recently got my garde I's up to confirmed 750 base dmg perfect strikes.. gotta love the domi
(btw lvl 4 Gallie BS, lvl 5 drone interfacing, lvl 4 sentry drones was needed there .. shooting a hardly moving Typhoon to be complete)
But still they can do horrific dmg and I use them while I can't use t2 heavies since med drones take too long killing npc BS
