Deciding the time was ripe do a bit of pvping in the Hed pipe we set down the dusty trail with our small yet powerful gang from deep within 0.0 up to Hed. Our small task force of drunken hobos included (1) Scorpion (1) Raven (1) Geddon (2) Thoraxi (1) Kestrel. Jumping into Wd- we ran into a small HF gang with a couple of bcÆs and some crusiers bubble camping which we promptly scared off with no losses to either side while destroying their bubble. We then moved to the SV5 gate and waited as we got word that there was a BoB gang camping the gate to Hed with (2) Vagabonds (2) Ishtars (1) Flycatcher (1) Nighthawk and several Ints. Well we figured it was a little much for our gang but we figured what the heck could be a bit of fun and that wed go engage. Due to some diplomatic discussions in local the HF gang (2 BCÆs 3 or 4 Crusiers and 1 AF as I recall) decided to join our gang and add some much needed firepower to our small task force. It was decided that I would jump in first, warp to the gate, and engage them in my Scorpion and call for assistance when the hornets nest was stirred up. Luckily I was flying an uber shield tanked scorp with no EWAR in anticipation of being called primary in an engagement such as this. Jumping in and warping to the gate I started calling primaries on Vent (thanks to those who reminded me that the HF gang was not on our vent) so everyone would be ready when the word came. I dropped out of warp @ 40k from the Hed gate in SV5 and was immediately engaged by the BoB gang. Releasing my first of 15 light drones I called for backup and local swelled as the rest of our gang warped in to assist me and engage all targets. Dropping out of warp it became a fierce battle with a BoB Megathron jumping in soon after we engaged to assist the rest of his gang. Ishtars jamming left and right, 50 drones swirling around, ints locking people down, nos beams flying all over the place, it was a close range knife fight the likes of which I havenÆt seen in a while. Midway through the battle my local bugged so I could no longer drag and drop the names of primaries in our gang box which slowed us down abit but luckily people relayed my instructions from vent to gang chat as slowly both our gangs ground each other down in a war of attrition. The battle went something like this;
Friendly geddon and enemy æthron down! Enemy Nighthawk sitting 60k off engagement hurling missiles @ us and slowly popping all of our support! Ishtar down! Wolfman primary! Wolfman warping! Vaga down! Friendly BcÆs down! Friendly Caracals down! Flycatcher down! Friendly Thoraxes down! Wolfman back! Wolfman Primary! Wolfman warping! Nos those Ints! Vaga down! Support clear out! Wolfman Back! Wolfman Primary! Wolfman warping! Get that Nighthawk! Put drones on ints so support can escape! Support clear out! Grab loot! BsÆes reform on gate!
Eventually what was left of the BoB gang cleared out to a safespot after the 10 minute running battle and we held the Hed gate though we took heavy losses in doing so. The Nighthawk came back in at range and popped quite a few valuable cans then joined the BoB gang in insta-ing out. Kudos to BoB for providing an awesome close range knife fight fully lag free and outnumbered and with very little EWAR used. Also kudos to HF for joining us in engaging even though we had just been trying to kill them mere minutes before. Was great fun had by all and I know both our gang and the BoB gang had a blast! Hope to have many more exciting fights like this in the future!
p.s. WolfmanÆs Ishtar gets special mention for being very very annoying

as a piolet in last nights fight i must say it was a fun fight, which was the commen views on ts last night. Wasnt any complaints on ship loss in fact i think most had so much fun they didnt care ^^
well might have been one who said he would have to hold up a will work for hac sign or something ( jokeing )
Anyways il let our fc from last night post his views on the fight but in short had a good time and look forward to more :)

Spacing and clear seperate paragraphs, what will you kids think of next. Why in my day there was no spacing or punctuation not only that some of it was in different languages.
This type of lazyness is whats tearing at the moral fiber of our great society...

Very nice story.
However, I feel you've just made yourself primary for the future engagements.

Yeah, that fight was a blast, guys. It was all close range and pure fun for a brutix pilot. Only two pilots in our little HF gang survived, but everyone agreed it was way better than camping 9KOE.  Hats off to BoB, Hmmzor, E-R, and Finis L for the good times.
Thanks for inviting us along to your drunken gang, would do it agin!

Nice story.
btw popping cans is lame 
you should let your enemies get the loot so they get richer and hence drop better loot next time

Good ol' scorched earth tactics. Fun fight, was disappointed I died so early on and didn't get to finish it

Was good fun, love fighting/fighting with the Hmmzor guys. BoB put up an evil fight, scared me a nice bit too when you got my proph at the gate! BTW, thanks for not primarying (sp?) me until the end, loads of fun.
P.S. Don't pop cans next time pls, we need that loot if you want to kill us more

Yeah it is but after all this is a game and you're not doing a full on war of conquest where denying an enemy of material is so important.

Even though my geddon was called primary, got ecm, and pwned within the first 30seconds.
Even though i only saw 10% of the fight.
I loved every second of it.

Yup, watched the fraps of it...that megathron had an immense swarm of drones on it, no wonder it went down so quickly...must have been EVERYONE's drones on single target. Beautiful sight :D

but made me happy to see FaTA1's KM. he had picked up all my loot and it all got destroyed. in his cargo

funny thing was ur mega snuck up on us too. and about fata1 that was funny on vent.
And HPLV damn nice job getting that mega poof. Was a very nice job
