While playing EVE occasionally (for the past 2 days) the game's graphics would go haywire and I would have to exit EVE, now the error is transferring to my actual desktop and every other program, untill I restart the computer. No other games are causing this, and now it happens about 30 seconds after I enter EVE.
Windows XP SP2 ATI Radeon 9600XT (Drivers updated) AMD Athlon 64 3200 ECS K8 755-A2 Motherboard
All drivers/firmware is updated.
someone please inform me if they are also having this problem and/or how to fix it. In peacetime sons burry fathers, in war fathers bury sons.

Well I downloaded a driver that was released yesterday and thought it was the problem, well it wasn't. The newest ATI driver does nothing to fix this little problem. I am not getting any errors, warnings, or logs; furthermore, I can no longer play EVE for more than just long enough to change skills. In peacetime sons burry fathers, in war fathers bury sons.

Hi
looks like termic or powersupply problem for me.
But, if it is a driver problem, u should test the Omegadrivers (omegadrivers.net) for ur ATI.

I had this problem with other games. The graphics get distored and hazey. Eventually I was getting triangles on the screen. The time take for these to appear got less and less. Eventually everytime I started the game the PC rebooted. Eventually the PC wouldn't boot up. Knackered graphics card. I had to replace the card and all was well again.

I dont know why eve does it, but it was a heat issue with me too.
I can run doom3 nearly maxed settings on one monitor and watch a DVD on another and she runs like a dream, no probs.
If I run eve w/o removing my side panel and turning on a box fan, i'm guarenteed a crash inside a 15min of gameplay.
Not even close to logical, but evidence points to eve making video card hot-hot-hot

open the computer case, and dust the crap out of it with any sort of high pressure air. since its summer, it is already running hotter... soooo yeah, open the case, and put a desk fan blowing on the inside of the case
