I have intermittent trouble opening cargo containers or activating gates when I am within the correct distance. It tells me I must be withing 1500m for cargo or 2500m for gate. I can be anywhere between 0m to to the max allowed and get the error message. I can usually move away and come back to get it to work but sometimes it takes several attempts. Last night I had two cargo containers that I could never open because of the distance error. Is this a known bug?

Bug, I would have to say yes its a bug. Happens all the time, I seriously doubt its due to lag of any type based on my expierence.

Could be a bug, whenever I had this problem a long time ago it was actually my connection problem In peacetime sons burry fathers, in war fathers bury sons.

This could be caused by packet loss on your conncection to TQ, try pining eve-online.com when TQ is very populated and see if you get packet loss. if so then it's a problem with you'r connection in which case you have to contact your ISP to solve the problem.

It is definately not packet loss. Tonight I left ping running to eve-online while I was playing and had the issue several times but 0% packet loss over that same period of time. Ping times are around 120ms.

I monitor my connection pretty regularly because I am a Lan tech and I am very picky with my speed and connection quality. I have Comcast at 9000/768 and packet loss is never an issue.

Just finished Guristas Extravaganza and had 8 containers in the last step that I could not open. Could be 0m and still said I was to far away. Checked pings again and average 120ms with 0% packet loss.
