It was possible to make around a billion per month in empire with the npc trade "bug" as a total rookie in a t1 hauler. I know because I used to trade and make really good iskies on it, just spending the afternoon hauling stuff around in empire after downtime. Take a look at the date he joined eve (2006.03.22). One week later he joined Mavericks. When the screenshot was taken he had been a member for 2 months, 29 days. So that makes the total time more than 3 months.
