what worked for us is to copy your regular eve install. make a shortcut from the evelauncher in the bin folder and adding /server:Duality and it works.
so the regular instructions but NOT using the repair tool

That's exactly what I did, but I did it before they patched TQ. Some of my guys are getting incompatible release so maybe they're just bad.
For clarification (lady naween), you did this AFTER the TQ patch hit 2 days ago and it still worked?

and yes I did it like an hour ago. first with the repair tool 9got incompatible build error thingy) and then without using the repair tool and then it worked like a charm. |

The former shows a "login" screen w/o login or password fields.
The latter shows an "old" login screen that tells me "Connection Failed. Could not connect..."
Advice how to get Duality to work on a Mac would be great.

Ok.... fixed it... sort of. The following is not for the faint hearted and assumes you know what you are doing... It comes with a very big health warning... YOU CAN NOT CONNECT TO TQ AND DUALITY AT THE SAME TIME LIKE THIS WITHOUT MESSING AROUND. If you forget to undo this change you will not be able to log into sisi and or tq until you do.
I can toggle my whole system to connect to duality and then manually toggle back by doing the following:
Close all clients
copy the config file under /Users/my.user.name/Library/Application Support - for the love of god please make a copy.
open the config file and edit the very end so it looks like the following:
[appdefaults\\ExeFile.exe\\transgaming]
"dockicon" = "Y"
"CmdLineAdd" = "/server:87.237.38.60"
Make a copy of your EvE '.app' file... for this i'm assuming you called it EVE Online - Duality
Run the following command form the terminal:
/Applications/EVE\ Online\ -\ Duality.app/Contents/Resources/EVE\ Online.app/Contents/MacOS/cider
Voila, you should be connected to duality... to toggle back restore your old file or undo the cmdlineadd bit...
Told you it was nasty and a hack.... thats three hours of my life i wont get back :) |

THEN in the bin folder, the eve.exe file, and make the shortcut like it says in the instructions
I had a 1.14 gig update not 240 or 260mb but, in the end going though the process above resolved the incompatible release issue I was having and I was able to log in on Duality.

Also, I'm not sure if this has been mentioned yet or not, but we found that some people who were having trouble connecting fixed the problem by adding quotes to a certain part of the target path of their short-cut. This only appears to work if the person in question has their duality client on a different hard-drive to their operating system.
For example:
C:\Duality\bin\exefile.exe /server:Duality
this works perfectly for me as c: is my only drive.
"E:\Duality\bin\exefile.exe" /server:Duality
this is the alteration that had to be made to get it to work for multiple drives.
Hope this helps/isn't a duplicate. |

We could really do with having some bonus SP applied.
As has been said, many teams are going to be training up to the wire, so being able to practice as we will be flying, not as we can now is really important.
I would say something like 3-4m SP would be good, that covers the month remaining, plus the month of training that was lost d |

Ok.. So all reactivation requests and office space requests above this line have been done.
Re. Issues over the weekend.. Duality had got itself into a bit of a state, and we have rebooted and patched her up a bit.
You are still probably going to see some lag at peak periods. Sorry.
But with regards to lag, beacons and SP I will try to get something done this week.
