am new to pirating and wondered wats the smallest ship,criuser etc that can tank gate sentries.is this possible at all solo or is it a gang sport.

I would recommend the ferox for killing indies.

It's possible to gank a hauler in a plated cruiser or BC and warp off. Or if you get enough friends you just need anything that can tank the sentries for about 20-30 seconds and then they'll cycle to somebody else.

Proph can tank sentries for 5 min solo _and_ keep the pray from running away.

In a Maller I can tank sentries long enough to kill any frigate (T1 or T2), certain cruisers (depends on tank) and any industrial.

I'd recomend any of the above as long as you can also use 5 drones as the sentries will also cycle thru them meaning your ship wont take as many hits.
