I am fairly new to manufacturing in eve, and i have a few BPO's nothing much tbh.
I decided to get one of my bpo's research for higher material efficency............ only to find out there is no research slots avaliable in the whole of The Forge reigon! for the next 8 days (thats the lowest one i saw  )
come on CCP give everyone a chance to do some Research, please.

It's very difficult for a casual player to find free research slots in Empire space. Two alternatives are:
- 0.0-security stations - they usually have some availability.
- Contacting a "research service" - corp. running a POS with laboratories (some people were advertising such services on forums recently).

You can just put your research in the shortest queue.

Agreed. Some people have no patience.
I would suggest a small POS with a mobile lab if you have the capital.

How is the problem restricted to casual players? Just do what everone else does and stick your job in the shortest queue. If anything it's worse for the people that play the game hardout, they have to do something else while hey wait weeks. The casual player is only playing on and off anyway they don't need to kill as much in-game time.

I have slots available immediatly, and of course there is that 75% multiplier on time it takes!

Check out some of the NPC 0.0 regions. You'll probably find loads of empty slots. Just be sure to get instas for the region and use a Covert Ops or fast as hell ship when moving them.
Don't come to Syndicate. The queues in Jita are shorter than the queues in Syndicate. Damn carebear corp mates
