Hi,
I am able to run eve perfect with no video card installed, just on board graphics. It is really laggy this way, but it doesnt ever CTD or restart.
With my 9600 XT (brand new) installed, I get a few CTD per night and a restart a week (but it runs smooth otherwise  ). I have tried both the drivers that came with the card, and brand new ones from ATI.
Does anyone else run a 9600XT with no problems?
BTW
ASUS p5vdc-mx
1 gig pc3200
celeron d 341 (2.93ghz, 533fsb, 256k cache) (Is this why cpu runs at %100 during eve play?)
Windows XP fully updated

I have an 9600XT @ 1920x1200 and the only issue I have is with the occasional 1-sec pause glitch that others with different cards are experiencing as well. Only reboots when the CPU overheats (MBM records temp of 150'f before restarting) but that's my fault for using the stock CPU cooling.

Possibly an issue with the power supply not having quite enough juice to run the display card?

With my last PC configuration I had no probs:
Burton 3000+
Abit AN7
1 gb ram
Win XP pro SP2
Saphire Radeon 9600 XT 256 MB
I played at 1280x1024 resolution 60hz (LCD native resolution)
Around 30-35 fps in space, 15-20-25 fps during fight

I have a 9600XT, works perfectly, except for the occasional CTD which i'm betting happens to anyone, no matter what card they use

it works... most time... a few times CL but think that the Prob isn't with the Readon

I used a 9600 with eve for ages and it was fine :), only prob was there was lag in some complexes, but thats the only thing i can remember.
