A corp owns its hangers. Why, then, is there no mechanic to see what goes in and out of them? It would be structured very simply...
NAME ITEM QUANTITY
A positive quantity means stuff was put in, negative means out. How hard could that possibly be to set up? As is stands, a corp theif can carry out his evil-doings and go completely scot free unless there's someone that happens to be in the corp and happens to be in the station at the time and notices everything gone.
Sure corp-theft happens and CCP has allowed it over and over. But why do we have no way of making absolutely sure who it was that did it? Station cans are a work around, but the hanger divisions themselves need audit capability.

I agree, there should be a log similiar to containers now that shows who takes what and from what tab of the corporation hanger. Mabye something that any director can view when they right click one of the tabs, mabye a show log or something similiar.

With Logging cans not logging the takes () Station Cans aren't even really a workaround. It's stupid IMO and I cannot honestly think of a good reason to not show the takes from the cans (let along hangars). Well, other than to let corp thieves get away with it scott free but it's stupidly unrealistic.

Well, if the guy heists everything at once, and is an alt or such, logging wouldn't help one bit anyway (in the sense that you won't be getting the stuff back) Still, I don't see why this hasn't been implemented, it'd be useful in general for tracking what people take etc.

You miss my point completely.
As things stand, if someone plans carefully, they can take absolutely everything from a corp AND STILL REMAIN IN THAT CORP BECAUSE NOBODY WILL EVER KNOW IT WAS HIM/HER. The point is NOT to get the stuff back, the point is to identify the person who did it and kick them out immediately.

There are still some fundamental issues to work with regarding corporate hangars, issues that promote "lazy" thieving; alts, thieves that remain in corp hidden, etc.
A heist should be done proper or not at all. ----

You know why it's possible and there's no logging? Because CCP likes having a universe where the same "rules" help protect criminals as they do "protect" the innocent.
They can deny it all they want. But they have yet to implement a valid way to help uphold the law in EvE. I bet the Devs sit in Jita and gank noobs in their inties going "Yarrrr! WTFPWNED j00 n00bz0r!"...
<sighs>
So many possibilities to be evil in this game... so few to be good... what does that say about the people who make the game? (note, good and evil in terms of Player interaction, not against NPCs)

Yet another conspiracy theory carebear who has no idea what its like to be an outlaw.
Ever been war decced? Well outlaws have a 24/7 war dec 100% of the time in all places by the entire EVE universe. =============================================== *If you don't want me to complain about WCS then don't complain when I gank you with a 5 man fleet just so I have enough points on |

The difference is. They are given the CHOICE to become "evil". It is everyone's CHOICE to walk down that path to becoming a pirate, a scammer, a corp thief, etc. But there is NO choice when it comes to being an employee of Concorde, a detective, a "do gooder" as such.
Me, I just keep doing my "carebear" missions and slowly learn my skills and gather my ships till I am ready to go out into 0.0 for good... but at this rate, it seems I won't need to, since all the "bad" people in the game are coming right "to my doorstep"...and there's almost nothing anyone can presently do about that.

Just give me a simple log of who took what and when by date and evetime. It's got to be in the database somewhere anyway.
Hell, make an ISK sink out of it. Have the station charge monthly fees for varying degress of information, I don't care. I just don't want a corp member to be able to steal a corp blind then still be able to remain in the corp, completely undetected as a theif. There are controls, sure, but they become cumbersome and counter-productive. And don't give me "that's the way RL is" because a RL company would damned sure have the ability to serialize and track assets.

Problem is it's probably a disposable alt that's going to rob you blind then disappear. ________

No, that's far less a problem than one that does it and then sticks around acting like they didn't do it.

The station cans are very annoying, with problems within out our own corp in the past, the use of these makes things very difficult and should be changed.

yeah introduce logging and take away all the fun :(
Keep the stuff restricted :)
And for the rly important stuff.. and also if you want to give your corp members access to the wallet (but not all of it) just create an alt in the corp and give him all the stuff that is really valuable.
