I'm trying to fit my Hurricane Fleet Issue with a nice T2 shield tank for level 3 missions.
It's kind of hard to find a shield fit for the cane. It seems many favors armour tanking.
Any help would be appreciated as always! I read every reply.

The Hurricane fleet issue is jsut a hurricane with an extra unbonused high-slot and some extra fitting. It's probably not worth 'upgrading' to it. Look at Pirate Cruisers or HAC's.
If you insist on using it, try something like this:

If you haven't rigged it yet I would just sell it back to the market. It's not easier to move around in than the Hurricane so you're going to spend just as much time flying and warping between missions, it doesn't do any more damage for clearing rooms faster, and it doesn't have better resists for a stronger active tank.
I like Hurricanes, but I really struggle to find a reason to use the Navy version over the ordinary once since you're literally paying an extra 100 mil to do the exact same thing very slightly better. |

Old Cane was slightly OP for PVP but navy BCs are a little too expensive, for what they do, to bring them to a fight. Its a tragedy. |

Fleet Cane is definitely meh, but Navy Harbies with the tracking bonus and extra midslots I feel are worth the money. Navy Brutix is also good. However Navy Drake is easily the worst of the lot. |

actually ignoring the price tag it isnt bad as the navy drake can use hams at the ranges of a normal drake, has free damage choice, has one lse II already integrated in the hull and i believe one more mid, cant check it right now as i dont have eve where iam atm |

L3 is usually passive fit, 650mm so you don't have to chase things down and range for defense.

For lvl 3 missions the shield extender/purger (fleet) Cane is the way to go. It easily beats active tanked setups, is a lot cheaper and much more gank proof.
