I have considered switching out two of the five combat drones for a pair of salvage drones. My thought is that they can fly about plundering while I focus on other kills. My thought is that this would be efficient. Anyone have any thoughts on this approach? |

lately I've just been dropping salvage drones as I cba to watch my drones, plus with my guns I kill nearly every frig at range anyways. I doubt 2 would keep up with kill rate, also only having 3 combat drones seems like it would make kill rate not so great on npcs, then again most of the time it probably doesn't matter if frigs have already gotten that close.
ah well, try it out I guess?

in my xperience salvage drones are too slow, unless you drop them on an alt working near a tractor unit. then i guess they can work. |

Keep an eye one them, though. Even elite cruisers (yes, I said cruisers and ment it) will go after them, and there slow pace and thin tanks wont last long under fire. |

I had 5 salvage drones in the Drake. It worked like a charm.
Warp in, drop MTU, orbit MTU, start killing rats, take salvage drones out only when wrecks start piling up (4-5 at least).
No salvage drone died on me yet. |
