Hi.
I have a question about doing PI in low sec as safe as possible.
If I skip using launchpad and do all export from a planet via command center launches, is it possible for pirates to scan down the resulting container ?
My high sec test PI facilities generate 500 m3 of P2 in few days. So I guess, that in low sec one planet will generate 1000 m3 of P2 in two-three days (2 launches from command center). If I use prowder to pick up planetary launches from 5 low sec planets, I need to go into low sec only once per 2-3 days. Is these math correct? Or should I HTFU, prepare bigger ship and start to pay taxes as the rest of the EVE? ;) |

Two suggestions:
1) Even HTFU-er, take over your own POCO! There's probably some InterBus ones still around somewhere. Going every 2-3 days is a pattern, and patterns get you caught. Patterns are bad, m'kay? The massively larger hold in a POCO lets you behave more unpredictably.
2) P3 is very decently compressive versus P2 - it's worth manufacturing that instead of P2 which is larger (and therefore has less ISK/m3). You might be able to sneak in with a destroyer to pick up your products there. |

Also, be aware that by broadcasting your intention to try PI in losec, players of a certain persuasion may well start running locator agents on you to track down your entry points and/or POCOs.
Just sayin'. Reading Comprehension: a skill so important it deserves it's own skillbook.

Assuming he is not a Forum Alt, which is why people have them (then also complain about everyone being a forum alt).
Eitherway, With an Epithal filled with warp cores you are pretty hard to catch (triple point or faction + scram). If you get caught on a poco just dump the cargo into the poco and jump your pod out. All you lose is a cheap T1 ship with Meta mods.
Maybe use a scout before heading in with the Indy.
Also launch pads are the way to go. 500m3 at a time is painful (100+ launches vs 2 Pocos to fill a Epithal).
Doing P2 on a single planet reduces the amount of cargo you need to haul , P3 is even better but you will need a factory planet and to move stuff yo and from it. |
