Good Morning. Help!
Problem
I am unable to get in game because the launcher is not patching my client. So I've been unable to play since Tuesday (lost training time).
It has done a couple of things.
1) The launcher begins the download and then gives me an error. See the error below. 2) Sometimes the launcher will download the patch and gets to the following stage.
(3/4): Applying Eve_Online_805617-811383_Win.Patch: 100.0%
But... it just sits there and sits there. It never finishes.
Troubleshooting Steps
Per CCP Aporia: "If you see this DBRunRecoveryError please close the launcher, go into the launcher cache folder and delete the "checksums" and "client_validation" files there. This should cause the launcher to re-validate the client installation from disk, which may take a while, but eventually resolve this issue."
This hasn't fixed the problem.
I tried to file a support ticket, but the ticket system gave me an error for two days. I was finally able to put in a ticket yesterday.

I tried this.
"A workaround is you can startup Eve, then login from there. You have to run the exefile.exe, and not the launcher exe. Here is the shortcut on my PC. Yours may be different."
C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP\EVE\bin\exefile.exe
And I got this error:
"There was an unexpected error while retrieving update status:
Unable to download file /590158/evepremiumpatch590158.exe from the server. Error: url //cdn1.eveonline.com/590158/evepremiumpatch590158.exe not found" Daniel Zehn Keeper of Evil Frosty

I tried running updater.exe in C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP\EVE\launcher\cache
Again, it started downloading the patch and failed with that same error in Post #2 of this thread.

I tried this from CCP Cascade:
"Those of you experiencing issues with the Launcher or updating the game, please follow these steps:
1. Reboot the computer. 2. Navigate to the EVE client install folder. 3. Run the Repair tool until it finshes. 4. Run eve.exe from the same folder"
I got this:
"An error occured during the repair"
With this log:

I tried this repair a second time and it said "Completed successfully. The EvE Online client was successfully repaired."

Hey, at least your launcher is responsive. Mine just locks up and refuses to run. So, I launch Eve directly from the main executable and it attempts to patch from there. I say attempt because it always fails.
However, the solution I've found is to run the repair tool. It checks the files and updates them as needed, which means you get the patch uploaded. I will say actually having a functioning launcher (which why did they install it? It wasn't needed) would be ideal, this workaround does help.
