The WH system in EvE has always fascinated me. I've never taken the time to truly explore them however, outside of scanning sigs and going down the rabbit hole and getting lost for a few days before.
What's the best way to to get in to it without being instantly evicted these days? Any particular corps that are good to cut teeth with or is everyone paranoid cause reasons? |

Hey mate, and welcome. Just ignore Winthorp, he is actually really great when u get to know him.
My advice. Read all the stickies. Read all the blogs, they are great windows into wormhole life.
Then if ur still interested, find a wormhole corp in your timezone( very important) , and jump in some public channels. Have a chat, get to know a few .
It's a good community, do not be fooled by the forums mate, they don't represent 95% of wormhole corps/ alliances. |

Confirming forums don't represent 95% of wormholes. Its probably closer to 10% and the rest are just farmers. That being said, don't **** off the wrong people and you'll be fine

All my life I hear about my sisters this, my sister that. Pretty this, pretty that. But I am reject, silly runt with robot arm who never amount to anything. Family say I should try to be more like my sisters but I say no, I do thing my own way and I very happy with way I look. Erica understand me though, she let me live in guest quarters attached to her own on top level of tower. Really there's little chance of you being evicted from anywhere unless you (a) Really **** someone off somehow (b) Have a particularly awesome wormhole that someone really wants or (c) Setup your POS so poorly that people just can't help but siege it for potential loots or from simple boredom.
C1/2 are nice forgiving low-class wormhole systems that are great for getting a feel for wormhole life while still be a comfortable jump away from high/low sec space. Do some reading to find out how to set yourself up in one with a POS and ships and just go for it, get out there and find an empty one, or perhaps purchase one, or even find a nice corp who won't mind you moving in to share theirs (company is always nice and more pilots are always good for defence/offence - not to mention free advice).

Back to your question
My advice would be:
Join a w-corporation that does what you want to do and learn. Do not hesitate to leave this group again if you are not happy, e.g. if all they do is shoot red crosses or are never online.
It seems tempting to steal a few billions from a corp that made wrong promises/disappointed you. However, it is totally not worth it if you intend to live in w-space. Word spreads fast in w-space and AWOXERs won't be able to live here.
Also keep in mind: Big is not always better.
Stick to WH etiquette
Never talk in local. Only idiots do this.
Always be respectful with other groups. Flaming is a no go and not keeping your word is frowned upon. Not fighting them if you outnumber them is an insult.
Try to lose ISK you make in w-space in w-space, e.g. be aggressive: Fight when you can and sometimes when you should not have.
DonGÇÖt be a slacker! Help your corp: Probe down your pipe and find targets, train for ships needed, GǪ
P.S.: What is all that trolling about? Do we really need a discussion about dussets makeup in every thread? |
