3 times... THREE TIMES IN A ******* ROW!?! The Score... Sansha version...
My word... are they invading Isikemi now? This mission has now become my "Damsel in Distress" mission... Yes, I'll do it once, yes, I'll do it again later the same day... but offer it to me TWICE more after that, in a row?!?
Sod off.

(Facts: I got this at 06H00 GMT (completed it)... I got it again at 16H00 GMT (completed it)... got it AGAIN after that...left it... waited till 20H00 GMT... WTF... AGAIN) Dulce bellum inexpertis... |

LOL I was able to pull Tech Secrets 3 times in a row, got 2 regular missions after that, Tech Secrets again, 5 more missions, Tech Secrets again. I was asking the same thing as you, WTF?, every time it came up. It kept coming up after that pretty frequently, around every 5 missions, for the rest of the week.
The large amount of loots, rewards, and LP was pretty nice but it was a strange deal how many times I was able to pull it for that week. After that I think I did 25-30 missions before seeing it again.

There's a good few thousand of us running missions on a regular basis; there's only a limited number of alternative missions the system can give out.
It's pretty much a certainty that, once a week, *someone* gets offered the same mission five times in a row. That's what random means - anything can happen and, given a large enough sample size, does happen. Where people fall down is in considering their own experience without including the rest of the sample (every single other person flying missions). ________________________________________________

I once had Infiltrated Outposts, Rogue Drone Harassment, and then Infiltrated Outposts again.
Also I've had two Angel Extravaganza following each other, and two Angel Vengeance in a row as well.
I feel your pain

even a slight tweak ie one diff type of ship within a mission sort of like a randomness would be good.

They should handle missions like a media player handles shuffled tracks: never give the same mission twice in a row.

You know... that reminded me of a programme I wrote for a bunch of doctors (hospital group) when I was at university...
They wanted a programme, to RANDOMLY assign doctors to shifts at the various hospitals.
In the end, they gave so many constraints, the poor thing struggled to fill the last few slots each month.
And then... they were like "OMG! You assigned the same doctor to 2 shifts in a row!!"...and I was like... you never said that was a problem (mumble: dumbass)...you just wanted RANDOM, so I gave you RANDOM...
In the end, I added in the rule that no doctor could work 2 shifts in a row (lazy bastards ) and the programme took a few hours to generate a schedule. (back in the days of 286's )
Oh Randomness, my sweetest enemy...

And there's the rub. Most people want random, but don't have the faintest idea what random actually means. ________________________________________________

I don't think I would ever knock back Black Market Hub - quick, easy and I always seem to get good drops. 3 Angel Extravaganza missions in a row was too much though!

if i had a buddy those Angel E missions would be doable - if u get a few repeated offers i look to see if theres any other agents nearby that could be used instead similar department perhaps diff corp tho

Angel pulled it 4 times in one day... and tadaaaaa when i log back in the next morning what does the local Aunia agent have for .. Angel EX..
+++¦s U get really good a fighting angels :-) ---¦s Lvl4¦s wich should be the most fun missionrun becomes yawn.. YAWN a hunt for ISK and LP... SO u can get a better ship and do even more angels even faster.. so u can get more isk and LP so u can do even more angels.... U get the pic.
That actually sent me outta highsec and into 0,0..... i figured "rather be poor and have fun, than sit on billions being bored"
Alli out.. - if i ever c that programmer..

I dont complain if I get mordus mission or the blockade twice in a row but I never get them. I get Infiltrated outposts, Angel extra, worlds collide, The "new" score and that in a different order again.

I have that same problem with the score i usually get it 2-3times in a row everytime i get it. :(
I think what people want when the say random is actually variance without an easily predictable pattern which is where the randomisation fails as they have too many factors controlling the missions offered. i think I seem to get different (batches) of missions depending on what ship i'm flying, think it gives missions more preference say if u turn up in a industrial to an admin agent your more likely to get hauling and low end jobs but as im yet to start kepping records i cant prove this. Things like agent standing and stuff also make a difference.

I got Human Cattle, Spirited Away, and Silence the Informant...all in a row! What are the odds???!!!
If there is a pattern to the missions that isn't a figment of my imagination, it's that whenever I turn down a mission the next one is way, way too likely to be the same one. Hmm, or possibly that courier kill missions and courier mission tend to string together more than one would expect.
But it could just be the usual problems with selective memory and the brain trying to make patterns that aren't there. Particularly when the brain is ticked off at getting tourist bus duty three times in a row.

mmm someone should make a note of every mission they are offered perhaps up to 100 missions then present whats what - its meant to be random but i think some repretetion is present as well.

My current record is War Situation from 4 different agents at the same time, as well as War Situation 4 times in a row from one of those agents.

Yes but true random would include repetition?
Unless it was random - last mission you did?
If the system does not exclude missions, then random can and will include repetition.
