I have this laser mining upgrade in the low slot but it doesn't seem to affect how many ores i pull in every 3mins. Does it only work on regular mining lasers or did i get a defective module? Thanks

Are you sure the actual module is online?
Only a Covetor and above can handle the CPU requirements (I'm sure), which if you were here long enough to pilot one you'd know the answer to your initial question :)

Ah I stand corrected :)
Which I wouldn't reconmend unless mining 0.9+ or have and active protector :)

You can fit two on a procurer (and I highly recommend you do if you did indeed purchase a procurer) because it's only got one laser.
Unofortunately, the procurer can be outmined by the racial mining cruisers, and it cannot defend itself to speak of, so it's really just a waste of a million isk.

Ha, yeah it's such a worthless Barge that it doesn't even rate a slot in my memory ;)
I don't think anyone would be foolish enough to bother with one of those .... but wonders never cease.

a retriever with a co-pro, a mining laser upgrade a C5-L and 2 strips and 5 Hornets is pretty decent down to 0.5 and 0.6

Yeah would depends on your skills, wouldn't want any half decent rats eating into that armor :) But as the drones get more powerful and take them out even faster it's definately do-able.
