I have been a part of ganking him running C5 sites and he does not escalate them.
But perhaps you could do a bit of research before you get back on your C5/6 blobbing/escalation hate campain.
Also have you ever actually liveed with one of the large C5/6 corps to understand how very off base your assumptions are?

Apologises for derailing this thread but since i've had like 2 hours sleep, no coffee yet this morning, been woken up by the stupid postman. And the fact you always go on about this.
I thought I'd share with you some of the stuff i've been doing on SISI and Tranquility, Now while I accept cap escalations are good isk they are limited by how many you have in your home system.
So a few numbers for you (and keep in mind these are only rough as I haven't done many c5 or c6 sites due to needing others to help me)
C6 best I have managed with no escalation 140m a hour.
C5 120m a hour
C4 147m a hour
C3 106m a hour
C2 45m a hour
C1 38m a hour
Now I might not have the optimal set ups for C5 and C6 and i want to try using 4 or 5 marauders and C1 and C2 are so reliant on nanos to make isk there isk per hour can really vary (60 to 75% of there total isk).
So without the cap escaltion you could very well be better farming c4 sites!!!!!!!! (NERF c4's....... not really)
while I'm happy to admit the numbers might not be 100% accurate (hell i've only run 178 sites so far will be close to 400 once completed). You'd be much better off getting me some hard facts on stuff hell you could do me a favour go run some incurison cos I'm pretty sure you could make much more doing them than c5 or c6 sites and you could run them all day (unlike cap escalation). And with a bit of luck (and a perfect prayer) you'll be moaning about NERF HISEC INCURSIONS and I can palm you off on mike.
anyway on to isboxer, It's being talked about alot recently, I'm semi torn, froma business pov its good from a game play probably not so good. I hear alot about perfect bombing runs and stuff. I'll maybe dig in to it more once I've finished my pve testing.

I hope you're running them on tranquility, at least make some money of it xD Anyway, it's appreciated you're making the effort! As numbers go I've read people doing > 100m/h in C1, can anyone confirm that? I've never tried.

As for escalation ISK, a tight crew that knows what it's doing, has all the people dual boxing at least, running 5b caps, with enough dreads, can make up to 400 M per hour. Per person, so 200M per pilot, while risking around 25b of ships at least. In any case, profitable, but not feasible for more than an hour or two per day. As for the ishtar blob, smartbombing BS and a drag bubble come to mind. Or a 20 man fleet on the other side. |

Look my issue with IS Boxer is it has no limitation i can see apart from the comp that can run the amount of clients and due to them being all tiny windows you can run a lot of them.
I think they were great when it allowed people to dualbox, tripple box and quad box but now people have pushed that envelope considerably. I give them credit for some of the great things i have seen them do but i think it goes too far away from helping a solo guy run a few sites that are a little harder for him when he can't get people online to clearing a C5 system of sites quickly, or like you say doing whole solo bombing runs perfectly.
Think i recall seeing a guy do solo sieges with oracles with IS Boxer, or the guy that runs solo incursion fleets that shouldn't be ok.
All in all i think it needs to get a hard cap on the amount of clients it can control and i would say anything over 4-5 is pushing it.
I am ok with derailing the thread to talk about IS Boxers, OP can you rename thread title please.  Sorry Axloth.  |

aye seen that. Ive done dual marauder and 4/5 rr tengus, best was from 2 marauders. I wouldnt mind trying the old ccres way with 3 logi 3 lokis 6 prots 1 ham legion cos that used to knock out sites really fast its just getting the numbers and stuff to attually do that.
I'll maybe try 1 marauder see if i can attually do that

It's really annoying if you form a small crew of three people and then you die to 20 insta-nados on a hole, 20 ishtar, 30 geddons, 15 domis or flawless 7-packs of purifiers. THe perfect bombersquad might easily be the most obnoxious thing to hover around.
It really isn't fun if you can replace the SKILL and PRACTICE of a group of players with one click using 3rd party software.

I was trying so many different methods of doing sites and earning ISK, with 1 character up to 4 characters i think. I would rate them something like this:
#1: Solo dreadnought - You can easily find empty C5 or a C6 (But C6 requires methods that i haven't seen published to public, but it is possible). That way i managed to earn tops 1.4 Bil / 85-90 mins, and that was how many sites you have. That method is pretty dangerous and before that you need to scan the system, to scan the surrounding holes and/or chain, to close/crit those holes, and have in mind now many people jump trough crit holes to kill solo or few caps that seem like easy target, specially in Magnetars/Wolf-Rayets where in W-R you have big bonus to small weapon damage and a lot of frigate sized ships can possibly go trough crit hole. This 1.4 bil per 90 minutes is just doing pure sites, but when you count in all the effort of preparations for it and the actual risk of Dread being killed + the price of the ship which is atleast 4-5 bil, you'd probably get on the same number doing some other things..
#2: Marauder - This actually requires 2 characters if you want to max your income from salvaging which you ofcourse want, so your alt can semi-afk salvage while you focus on the other screen shooting in other site with you Marauder rather then refitting with mobile depo and using salvagers on Marauder to salvage the wrecks, and on alt of mine i had LVL4 salvaging skill, and i wasn't able to salvage that toughest sleeper BS wreck, but LVL5 skill could probably do.
#3: RR Tengus, this is a best option if you have like 2-3 characters with no marauders, or no acess to C5/C6 holes, they work pretty well in C4, and you can earn decent isk there, you can do that with 2 Tengus, 3rd character could be a salvager or whatever, this is not the best option but if your limited by SP and some other things, this is easy, not too much stress, but not very fun tho. And if you are careful, closing holes, scouting with 3rd character etc, you are pretty safe with your Tengus, there is also a fit of a Tengu which is nullified and does not suffer on combat skills in a site which is a pretty big bonus, you can also use them to clear some data/relics/gases.
EDIT: I haven't mentioned doing "solo" (quad-boxing atleast) escalations with 2 caps, Carrier+Dread+Webber+Booster, these are also viable and nice ISK, but it is so skill intensive, and too much risk, that not many people can do that, and you shouldn't try it if you don't know what you are doing, you can earn a lot, but if wrong people happen to roll into you, you are gonna be so confused, and you are going to loose all your ships.. |

SSC rolled into us today, after we gathered some intel on their numbers we figured we could take them on in roughly a fair fight. Then all the sudden 14 Ishtars + Nestors show up on dscan in SSC's hole and our whole corp collectively puked up chunks of wtf all over TS... I don't mind IS boxer if that's how some individual wants to play however SSC could have made out with a few more kills today if he wasn't around. |
